Funny. I understood two verses as a whole.
"Am I just dreaming once again----> (that) some dreams are better when they end????"

The thing with interrogatives in songs is that we actually don't know when they end most of the time, do we? At least till the "official lyrics" are released...

Besides, there was so much chemistry between those two that it's so difficult to lose hope...

They both seem like aliens to me, and both of them scare me to Hell but...

WICKED BEAUTIFUL ALBUM, btw.

(One little typo: "troops" should be "truth's", I think.
"Am I the one your TRUTH'S been waiting for?")

Frou Frou – Let Go Lyrics 9 years ago
"it gains the more it gives
and it rises with the fall
so hand me that remote
can't you see that all that stuff's a sideshow"

Oh, guys, I’ve been there too. Those first 2 verses are pure irony and sarcasm. Sometimes we tend to think that just by trying to love someone more, he will love us back they way we want them to. WRONG LINE OF THOUGHT. We are all different, so we need different things. Some people are naturally more selfish or more giving than others, and there’s no need for being judgemental. But being condescending with them doesn’t help them either. Sometimes people are in a rut or need help discovering their true selves, and sometimes we are not the ones who can help them on that. Each person has to be loved in a different way, and he won’t learn until he is loved in a different way he deserves. Many women are hurt just because they give too much or they give for the wrong reasons or in the wrong timing. So it’s never a win-win situation, but more a lost-lost one, in this case.

Your comment cracked me up, in fact, I'm still laughing. First, sleep is a human necessity, so if your nickname 'somnambulant' is just an irony don't worry, but if not, you have the right to sleep at this moment (unless you are driving a car).

Second, I'm too afraid of this song atm to put int in words. But indeed I'm NOT AFRAID of my strong feelings for that person, which remain somehow intact. I believe I'm afraid of this song atm because there's some sense of destruction and suffering which comes with it which is terrifying. I can only think of the frightening tale of the Pied Piper of Hamelin...

I feel cold and empty. Love shouldn't bring death or destruction to our lives. I feel really bad today, exhausted and full of guilt and sorrow tbh.

The mood of what I feel today is more that of the songs 'Out of Time' by Blur or 'Wish I Was Here' by Cat Power and Chris Martin.

I also want to say sorry if my vanity on commenting this song offended anyone or you. I really feel somehow like a bitch.

Beach House – 10 Mile Stereo Lyrics 10 years ago
Two years later, I keep returning to this song. In fact, it’s endlessly beautiful. My perspective has changed a lot, maybe it’s “the force of the wave of time…”

Now I see conviction, passionate swimmers jumping off the rocks into the abyss, maybe myocardial rupture too, but with such greatness and freedom… It’s a buried treasure, like having Victoria’s restless heart beating jumping maybe shouting next to us, but so quietly beautiful and just to us, forever…

I wish I had the guts to throw my heart so far, with such a style, to someone who really deserves it. If you’re not courageous and stylish at least when you’re in love, you’ll never be. Now I really know how does it feel, wanting to throw your life away furiously, without thinking anymore. And I believe I’ll carry on forever with this feeling for this person.

Never thought that pyramids could seem that beautiful. All the stones were in place, and will always be! But don’t listen to me. Read the real lyrics, or build your real pantheon with all the rage you are capable of!

The symbolism of this song is beautiful, yet hurtful too. A rock is something strong, indeed. But it is also something that's dead, iced in time, like the pyramids and the pantheons in the song. And if you throw it, it can end broken. Sometimes, when we are devastated by lack of love, but also searching desperately for it, we try to throw it wherever we can at whoever we can, no matter the consequences.

They are also beautiful the contradictions with the verbs "stand" and "fall". Love, specially the one which is impossible, makes us want to stand, to resist, but when we "fall", we fall deeply.

I believe it is a song both of the strenght and vulnerability of this love. It's the struggle of this bright pyramid. She is trying to convince the other that the rest of the world is wrong, that stones don't break. And it might be true, but to stand is to be death and in the past, in a way.

Coldplay – Violet Hill Lyrics 16 years ago
I think he says:
"Bury me in honor
when I'm dead and hit the ground
my nerves are porous, and unfold."

instead of:
"My Love is opposed when unfold"

And I think it is:
"I don't wanna be a soldier
with the captain of some sinking ship
which stow far below."

instead of:
"With snow, far below"
