Honestly I dont think this song has any religious undertones or anthing like that. I think its exactly how it sounds... One day your problems or current problem will fade away with the help of friends and family, all your problems can be milestones and learning experiences but you have to be willing to open the wounds to share. and with that being said you can heal and help heal others who might share those problems or others. Those trails will remain tho, if you cant or arent willing to talk about them. Well to me this song is about his mother not really deserving his love, he is killing to see her(21 sacraments) remember he started thinking the room itself was his mother and 21 sacraments was a way to awaken "her"(The room) when he was a kid he hung outside room 302 to see his mother the super always kicked him out. This song could also be about the potential good that was in Walter until he felt his mother rejected him. Just a pain he feel, "It was always you that i depised" seems iconic of that, yet he still tries to show her love. He could be taliking about the room itself he was born in the room and the super found after the parents fled. |
