I think that this song is written to God. To me, it's about a man who's trying to live his life for the Lord, but not sure if he's succeeding... though desperately hoping to know when he does. "All the cars running fast along the Interstate, can feel the love that radiates, illuminating all I know is true..." This part seems to me like he's praying to be a light to the world, prayinig to be a means for God to show his love to whoever encounters this man. I love this song... it makes so many great points. It's honest about the faith and the tough spots where God doesn't seem as present in life. This guy doesn't seem to have it together or all sorted out, and none of us do... that's God's job. That's why I love it; because he can be uncertain, yet still have the faith never to give up and follow Christ as best he can. Beautiful song, and a fantastic tune ^^ A real winnner. |
