In the Woods... – 299 796 km/s Lyrics | 4 years ago |
Sounds like it's about being in nature and at one with it. Makes me think of tripping in nature. Beautiful! |
Iron Maiden – If Eternity Should Fail Lyrics | 8 years ago |
@[oldmanstauf:5972] I'll fix it. |
Iron Maiden – If Eternity Should Fail Lyrics | 8 years ago |
I'll update it in short order so stay calm folks |
Elvenking – Witches Gather Lyrics | 9 years ago |
"It is my ultimate tribute to all the free women fallen under the hammer of human ignorance. Most of us link witches to the classic image aroused by literature and later on by cinematography (like in W.Shakespeare's Macbeth for example): of ugly old women in league with the devil, who make evil potions, eat babies and God knows what else. In truth they were all just normal individuals who dared to think differently or tried to set themselves free from the binds of moral or religious narrow-minded thinking, or were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. This is for all of them, may their souls rest in peace." - Damnagoras |
Dark Tranquillity – At Loss For Words Lyrics | 12 years ago |
not 100% sure all the lyrics are correct. if you know better for sure feel free to send me a pm and i'll correct them :) |
W.A.S.P. – Thunderhead Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Clearly, this song is about heroin addiction; or rather, a man named Thunderhead who's a heroin addict. |
Ayreon – The Sixth Extinction Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Thought I'd repost the lyrics with the lyrics to the 'grunts' as well as letting everyone know which singer is responsible for which lines. Enjoy: [1. Echoes On The Wind] [Tom Englund:] It's the calm before the storm It's the quiet before the war It's the time when all will be decided. [Steve Lee:] All will be decided [Tom Englund:] If nobody hears the echoes on the wind [Tom Englund:] It's the end of the chain [Steve Lee:] Destruction of the fittest [Tom Englund:] It's the end of our reign [Steve Lee:] We've seen it all before [Tom Englund:] It's the end of man's evolution [Steve Lee:] The end of evolution [Tom Englund:] For nobody heeds the echoes on the wind [2. Radioactive Grave] [*] [Hansi Kursch:] Do you hear the sirens? [Daniel Gildenlow:] Do you see them burst? [Steve Lee:] Do you feel the fire? [Jonas Renske and Floor Jansen:] All the world's a radioactive grave! [Tom Englund:] I can hear them crying [Bob Catley:] I can see the fear [Jorn Lande:] I can see them dying [Jonas Renske and Floor Jansen:] Washed away by deadly gamma waves! [Hansi Kursch:] Do you hear them calling? [Daniel Gildenlow:] Do you see them hurt? [Steve Lee:] Do you feel them falling? [Jonas Renske and Floor Jansen:] All the world's a blazing funeral pyre! [Tom Englund:] I can hear the wailing! [Bob Catley:] I can see the wrath! [Jorn Lande:] I can see them failing [Jonas Renske and Floor Jansen:] Washed away by a scorching sea of fire! [repeat *] [3. 2085] [Jonas Renske:] Silence's so loud, not a soul... left alive Darkness's a shroud 2085 All our dreams have disappeared They burned down... tree of life Confirming all that we feared 2085 [Bob Catley:] Don't give up, remember how we felt Fire rushing through our veins Now it's the time to rise up from our hell Now it's the time to free our brains [Steve Lee:] The meaning of life is to give life meaning Go too fast, move too slow. Restore the balance between thinking and feeling Open up and let it flow [Jonas Renske:] No side has won, struggle to... survive Our quest here is done 2085 All our hopes have disappeared Our race will... not thrive Time will not recall the year 2085 [Daniel Gildenlow:] Don't give in, remember all we learned The spark of life if did ignite We regained the rage for which we yearned We regained our will to fight [Jorn Lande:] We must resolve this human equation We're already dead if we don't try To welcome challenge, genetic variation Stop the machines, prepare to die! [4. To The Planet Of Red] [Instrumental] [5. Spirit Of The Wind] [Tom Englund:] He's the last man alive [Steve Lee:] Searching for the answer [Tom Englund:] Knowing he won't survive [Steve Lee:] To the mystery of live [Tom Englund:] Relives the past, and dreams of the future [Steve Lee:] Dreaming of the future [Tom Englund:] And soon he'll set free [Steve Lee:] And the sleeper will awake [Tom Englund:] The spirit of the wind [6. Complete The Circle] Make us whole, migrator soul Follow you home, complete the Circle We must survive, restore our lives The way I'll show, complete the circle [x2] [Hansi Kursch:] Send back visions Into the past Of war and decay [Floor Jansen:] Hear the final cries! I can see the fear In a world without walls [Anneke van Giersbergen:] Through their eyes [Tom Englund:] I see them dying We have to teach them Migrator soul [Daniel Gildenlow:] We will gain our will to fight We're at the dawn We found a way [Steve Lee:] I know we'll make it in the end Listen to the one man [Bob Catley:] We gave them language What did they say? What did they learn? [Jorn Lande:] We have no choice We are the future We are the pain Complete the Circle! [Steve Lee:] AH!!!! |
Tim 'Ripper" Owens – Starting Over Lyrics | 14 years ago |
sound like someone he loved died and he's asking why and thinking about how he's got to starthis life afresh as things will be diffeent now. best song of the album imo. |
Stratovarius – Elements Lyrics | 14 years ago |
In one word ..... EPIC! |
Cradle of Filth – Bathory Aria: Benighted Like Usher/A Murder of Ravens in Fugue/Eyes That Witnessed Madness Lyrics | 15 years ago |
so then any song that doesnt speak about wonderful things must be a pretty horrible song then? why the fuck did you even bother listening to this song or commenting on it in that case?? |
Cradle of Filth – The Twisted Nails of Faith Lyrics | 15 years ago |
actually, you're wrong. she wasn't crucified in this song nor was the beginning of bathory aria speaking of her death. she was grieving because the count "her lord at war" as the witch in this song said, was slain. at the end of bathory aria she was clearly only imprisoned and not dead which is why the line 'where slow death alone could grant her flight' was used |
Cradle of Filth – The Twisted Nails of Faith Lyrics | 15 years ago |
she was never immortal. she simply wanted her beauty to last while she did even as she aged and grieved what griefs she might. beside that however, i'd agree with you |
Cradle of Filth – Presents From The Poison-Hearted Lyrics | 15 years ago |
'though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death' is a line from the bible. psalm 23 i believe. i think it very unlikely that cradle of filth would need to emulate manson in their songs. dani filth is a lyrical genius already |
Cradle of Filth – Sleepless Lyrics | 15 years ago |
'Surely without war there would be no loss' <-- obviously the song is an anti-war song pondering the existence of wars when they only cause pain |
Cradle of Filth – Amor E Morte Lyrics | 15 years ago |
and i suppose it couldn't possibly be latin cuz U r portugese and portugese has now word derivations from latin am i right? it IS latin and it mean 'love out of/from death'! |
Cradle of Filth – Swansong for a Raven Lyrics | 15 years ago |
a werewolf |
Iron Maiden – Dance Of Death Lyrics | 15 years ago |
i tink RainbowDemon had the correct meaning considering that it makes sense and his info came from an interview. what confuses me though is why no-one else has seemed to notice his comment and can't seem to see anything beside what the words state in a literal context. makes me wonder how intelligent some people are. but hey! i might be wrong too right. awesome song btw |
Arch Enemy – Pilgrim Lyrics | 15 years ago |
the song also pays tribute to Blue Oyster Cult. the riff they play for the chorus of this song is the same as the one from BOC's song astronomy |
Gamma Ray – Man On A Mission Lyrics | 15 years ago |
if you like this song then check out 'miracle' from them as well. it has the same chorus and from the line 'take my hand and you will see' its also the same. much slower however |
Rainbow – The Temple Of The King Lyrics | 15 years ago |
i believe the temple of the king is within him. and would agree with isen in saying that the answer he seeks is inside him as well in 'the temple'. |
Yngwie Malmsteen – Soldier Without Faith Lyrics | 15 years ago |
name and words say it all. about a soldier cast into war but doesn't understand why he should be fighting and what is the purpose of it. he longs for home. great song. surprised it wasn't even posted before |
Gamma Ray – From The Ashes Lyrics | 15 years ago |
cant believe no-one even added the lyrics to this song before. awesome song. |
Judas Priest – Cathedral Spires Lyrics | 15 years ago |
RIPPERRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! k i just luv ripper even though in both judas priest and iced earth he was generally disliked cuz of the previous singers he replaced. as for the meaning well its been said before |
Rush – 2112 Lyrics | 15 years ago |
check out the book Brave New World by Aldous Huxley as well. similar concept of a futuristic society in which freedom is erased but the illusion of it remains. wont spoil anymore of it for any1 who decides to check it out. that book inspired the Iron Maiden album of the same title as well |
Rush – 2112 Lyrics | 15 years ago |
The greatest song i never heard up till recently! amazing! especially soliloquy |
Edguy – Catch Of The Century Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Helicopter!!!!! |
Edguy – Catch Of The Century Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I LOVE the ending! lol. seven, seven Ferraris!!! lolllllll otherwise yea it's a pretty easy song to figure out the meaning of. |
Ozzy Osbourne – Mr. Crowley Lyrics | 15 years ago |
it's not judas priest cover 'dylanrocks' u idiot. it's just Malmsteen with Tim "Ripper" Owens on vocals. he's the guy that replaced halford in priest and after replaced barlow in iced earth and is now the lead singer for malmsteen's band and otherwise yes as u all said he song is about alesiter crowley although in the song his name is pronounced wrong. it shud rhyme with holy. and while the song states he was 'waiting on satan's call' he had claimed wile still alive that he did not even believe in satan. anyway fuckin great song. especially the ripper cover. ozzy's vocals don't do justice to the song |
Blind Guardian – Hallelujah (Deep Purple cover) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
great cover. wayyyy better than the original. cant believe no1 even posted the lyrics before. don't tink i need to put the meaning either. pretty easy to figure out. |
Helloween – Victim Of Fate Lyrics | 16 years ago |
kai's own is cool but i definitely have gotten to love kiske's version more. the slow solo and kiske's voice are just incredible. kai's laugh is better though! |
Primal Fear – Formula One Lyrics | 16 years ago |
probly the best song i nvr heard cuz its based on F1 racing obviously :D |
Sonata Arctica – In Black And White Lyrics | 16 years ago |
happy ppl? lyrics fixed thanks to perfectchaos1212. if u could post all 100% correct lyrics before the album is actually released then next time feel free to do so otherwise shut the fuck up |
Sonata Arctica – Fade to Black (Metallica cover) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
both versions are excelent songs. amongst my fav ever but the SA does seem sadder even though at the end the solo is missed but i think SA did exactly what they set out to do when making this song.... that isgiving a sadder feel to the song to compliment the lyrics which are obviously about depression and thoughts of dying/suicide |
Iced Earth – Prophecy Lyrics | 16 years ago |
ok question ppl. barlow or ripper's version? definitely ripper for me on this one |
Sonata Arctica – It Wont Fade Lyrics | 17 years ago |
my bad! just copied and pasted from a site. added too many lyrics at that time to listen to all the songs and see that they were correct |
Blind Guardian – Dead Sound of Misery Lyrics | 17 years ago |
at first dead sound of misery but fly kinda grew on me an i tink maybe i like dat 1 more now. both great songs though |
Blind Guardian – Don't Talk to Strangers (Dio cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
one of the best BG ever in my opinion even though it's a cover song. excellent work. don't trust anyone. think its obvious enough that thats what it means. full of great metaphors too. |
Blind Guardian – And Then There Was Silence Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"I LIKE BEANS" u shud know dat beyond all doubt u r an idiot unless somehow evry1 else missed the part where troy came into LOTR |
Helloween – Just a Little Sign Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Great song, full of its humour and what not. Gotta love the line in the opening "Something's growing in my pants As she looks into my eyes" and the whole "for just a little sign" |
Toy Box – Tarzan and Jane Lyrics | 17 years ago |
the song obviously has its sexual meanings hidden in its lyrics I mean really when you think about it. I am Jane and I love to ride an elephant - what exactly is she "riding" the whole bit about getting "funky" "feeling funny when getting touched" it's all a big cover up for what's really going on. |
