Guns N' Roses – Patience Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I love this song.... I think it's about two people who are in love but one is in a relationship and the other(Axel) is learning patience as to wait for this person because he reassures himself "Just a little patience, Need a little patience, etc..." |
Three Days Grace – Never Too Late Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It's like a narrative of someone's life with his own thoughts mingled in..... Something like that. |
Three Days Grace – Get Out Alive Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I think it has to do with fame or being over exposed about something. You lose people in your life when you become famous because of all this pressure and all the scrutiny... "Don't hide your mistakes 'Cause they'll find you, burn you" You can't hide when your famous. Everyone knows who you are and any flaws you have are thrown across the covers of magazines. |
The Doors – My Eyes Have Seen You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Jim was living on a rooftop near Venice Beach and he could see the tv towers and everything like that. I think this is about finding lovers as well. Might be about Pam but I'm not certain. |
The Doors – Queen Of The Highway Lyrics | 17 years ago |
That's bullshit. Pamela loved Jim and Jim loved her. But man he went and did shit to hurt on a daily basis. Like they were going to go to a party and when they were getting in the car Jim told her she couldn't go because she'd just bring him down and he left her like at the airport or maybe at their house I can't remember. When they had an apartment together Jim went downstairs to a friends apartment where Patricia Keneally was staying and fucked her while Pam was upstairs and Pam walked in on it. And Jim laughed.... So.. There's something shocking for you Flower Girl. This song is about Pam and him. She was his cosmic soul mate. He loved her over all others and she loved him over all others. |
The Doors – Soul Kitchen Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It's about this cafe he used to go to at Venice Beach in California. I looooooveee this song. It's great to listen to while closing the restaurant I work at... But man...Who hasn't ever felt like these lines... "I light another cigarette Learn to forget, learn to forget Learn to forget, learn to forget" |
The Doors – Love Street Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This is about Pam and Jim and he's making fun of her. I can't remember what in No One Here Gets Out Alive, like what was the underlying meaning to this song. Only that Jim was trying to hurt Pam with his sarcasm.... I love Jim. But he was crueler than you all think to the ones he loved. |
The Doors – The Spy Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Ummm Jim Morrison was one of the most talented people EVER!... Even though he was crazy. I won't argue with that. Read No One Here Gets Out Alive. But in genious you're always bordering on insanity. Oh and by the way Alberts I'm sure Jim knew more on any subject than your ass. I think this song is about how Jim wouldn't get married to his longtime girlfriend Pam Courson-Morrison. |
The Doors – Alabama Song (Whisky Bar) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Jim may not have written it but damn does it sum up most of his life. He was always reaching out for the next girl while he had a bottle in his hand. This IS and old German song. I love getting drunk to this lol. |
Janis Joplin – Tell Mama Lyrics | 17 years ago |
GREAT FUCKING SONG. It's pretty straightforward as to what it means. I think that if you like listening to this song you should watch the live version on Festival Train it's near the end of the film but it's a great performance man. |
Big Brother & The Holding Company – Summertime Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Now this song is a great blues song and Janis sings it so well. The vocals are fantastic as is the rest of the band. Makes me think of a lazy day near the Tennessee River.... Beautiful song. |
Janis Joplin – Mary Jane Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"Now when I go to work, I work all day, Always turns out the same. When I bring home my hard-earned pay I spend my money all on Mary Jane. Mary Jane, Mary Jane, Lord, my Mary Jane." Man.. Ain't that the goddamned truth. My friends always play this for me because my name is Mary Jane. |
Janis Joplin – Little Girl Blue Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song always brings tears to my eyes when I'm singing it with her recording. You can just feel the pain man. It captivates you in this song. In the end though you know you aren't alone in this. Because she tells you she knows how you feel. |
Big Brother & The Holding Company – Turtle Blues Lyrics | 17 years ago |
By far one of the best blues songs ever! I agree with Baked Potato. This is definitely about how Janis hid herself from others. She tells whomever in this song that she isn't any good and that she is Trouble. |
Janis Joplin – Me and Bobby McGee Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I think that Bobby McGee is a refrence to anyone and everyone that was apart of the LOVE movement in the 60's. After awhile I think that some people just felt lost. "He's looking for that home and I hope he finds it.." All these kids man that conformed during the 50s and early 60s that gained "Freedom" in the mid to late 60s went off leaving everything they ever knew their roots in search of somewhere where they felt like they belonged. I don't know if that's the reason why Kris wrote this or not. But it's how I feel when I sing it and listen to it. |
Big Brother & The Holding Company – Ball and Chain Lyrics | 17 years ago |
My favorite would be the Cheap Thrills version. I love this song. Janis just puts sooooooooooooooooo much emotion into her singing. She's a muse of the blues man. |
