Sum 41 – So Long, Goodbye Lyrics 8 years ago
@[michaelmhx:4660], "Beep" is a commentator on this forum. If you'd taken 5 extra seconds to scroll down the page, you'd have seen that.

Secondly, I'm well aware of what "ftw" means, as I was SUPPORTING the use of vocals in this song.

Lastly, if you want to call someone out on being childish or criticize their word usage, you should do the bear minimum to ensure you actually know what you're speaking of. THAT'S all.

Just gave that song a listen, thanks by the way :), and they do feel like very similar songs.

Nine Horses – The banality of evil Lyrics 15 years ago
This is such a perfect song for driving at night. It's so dark and atmospheric. Yeah, I'm one of the few people who actually like The Number 23 and this song compliments it perfectly.

Nerf Herder – Rock City News Lyrics 15 years ago
somewhat catchy song about the niceties of being a nerd and spontaneously becoming a "rock star" and suddenly having a life full of intrigue that being a rock star supposedly implies.

Emmy Rossum – Slow Me Down Lyrics 15 years ago
It kinda reminds of Enya's stuff, minus the celtic theme, of course.

Devendra Banhart – Insect Eyes Lyrics 15 years ago
The genre for this song should be called "Dark Folk" because that's exactly what it is, dark. Despite being a song of infatuatoin and even love, you just can't help but feeling the creepy side of it. Awesome.

AC/DC – Rock and Roll Train Lyrics 15 years ago
AC/DC forever! And not a half bad single as well. It's a relief to know that they've kept their signature sound after all these years.

Rammstein – Sonne (English) Lyrics 15 years ago
I know this isn't what the song is about. But it always reminds me of Nazi Germany. Every time I hear "Here kommpt di sonne" I see Hitler at the podium giving the salute into the sun and his marching armies below. The talk about equality would also be relevant in light of the Aryan "master race" that the nazis believed in. The in and of itself is a symbol for righteousness and purity. Just my thoughts.

Van Morrison – Raglan Road Lyrics 16 years ago
If you've ever seen the movie In Bruges, there's a scene where this song is used and it completely makes the scene. Especially since the character is Irish and so far from home. Such a beautiful song.

Sum 41 – Best Of Me Lyrics 16 years ago
number22 I was thinking the same thing in regards to the chorus sounding like "the reason" because it really does. I think that this song might end up being underappreciated compared to the others on this album but I think it's really powerful when you stop to really listen.

Sum 41 – So Long, Goodbye Lyrics 16 years ago
what Beep said "deryck vocals ftw". its real refreshing not to mention speak about their maturity to be doing more slow songs with more serious tones. You rock SUM 41.

Sum 41 – With Me Lyrics 16 years ago
As for the motivation behind it I would say it heavily entails Derycks love for Avril and how his days of loneliness are over and that now he's finally complete. Truely Touching . . .

Sum 41 – Walking Disaster Lyrics 17 years ago
Yeah, I agree nash. It's really cool to see the sums returning to their musical roots so to speak. Kinda reminds me of their first album but with an added maturity that they've definitely gained over the years. SUM 41 forever!

Dragon Ash – Shizuka na hibi no kaidan wo Lyrics 17 years ago
Can't believe no one's commented on this song yet. Not a huge hip-hop fan myself but dragon ash definitely has enough inherent in their music to sway my opinion. First time I heard this specific song was at the end of the movie Battle Royale(best ending music ever). But this song certainly does an awesome job of talking about enjoying the simpler aspects of everyday life. Something a lot of people these days fail to do.

Enya – Long, Long Journey Lyrics 17 years ago
This song has helped me through some very difficult times in my life. Especially the lyrics:"through the darkness and the shadow, I will still go on." Makes you feel like no matter how bad things are now, it's only part of that long long journey, and all you have to do is press through the darkness and into the light. Which is ironic because personally I consider darkness to be comforting.

This song just sounds like some dark and twisted yet disturbingly uplifting wet dream. I don't know it just sounds that way.

Flogging Molly – Salty Dog Lyrics 17 years ago
Yes it is true they are very political. But when you think about it it's kind of difficult not to these days what with all that's happened in Ireland over the last century.

Dropkick Murphys – Cadence to Arms Lyrics 17 years ago
Tronak, I just have to give props to you for not only putting those phony know-it-alls in their place. I'm jeez, if you don't know the difference between highland and Uilleann pipes then you really don't have any place making comments regarding them. And as far as the whole, Ireland being a region of Scotland bit, I have absolutely nothing to say to those who supported that Internet-intellectual generalization. Yes, I admit that is certainly is a Scottish song. However, to say that the bagpipes are an exclusive trademark to Scotland is total ludacris, I don't care what kind of major you are.

John Mayer – Waiting on the World to Change Lyrics 17 years ago
lol The Fox network would be the last network that the governmetn would want to control. The governent only controls P.R. serious stations like CNN because people place genuin faith in those stations in that they think they're always getting the truth. Well, keep on waiting . . . .

The Devlins – World Outside Lyrics 17 years ago
I cannot believe that no one has commented on this song yet! The lyrics don't really say much for deeper meanings but if you watch the movie "Closer" and there's this entrance scene with Clive Owen into a nightclub and all at once it makes sense with amazing clarity.

Enya – May It Be Lyrics 17 years ago
Okay im sorry, but if one more christian starts doing a god and harsh times of the christian path comparison i am going to hurl. I am a huge enya fan and I'm sorry but there are so many different ways to praise the song without bringing religion into it. No offense to the Christian religion though.

Thirteen Senses – Into The Fire Lyrics 17 years ago
i think that" turning white and senses dying" refers to how the sensation of doing something you never thought you could do or thought you should do can seem like its so powerful that it's burning you up until you can't feel anything but it. I also think that " turn and meet the power" means to gather all the courage and inner strength that you have in order to do what it is you need to do. A Truely great song . . .

Huey Lewis and the News – Hip To Be Square Lyrics 17 years ago
I have yet to meet single person who knew this song before American Psycho. And you know what? There's absolutely nothing wrong with that because the only REAL way to be introduced to this song is in American Psycho with our Partrick Bateman's fluent and idiosyncratic definition of the songs meaning and creation.

Vertical Horizon – Everything You Want Lyrics 17 years ago
While I have to aknowledge that this song is most likely about a girl who doesn't share his affection, I must say that I liked the idea of the song were it's actually refering to who we are inside and would like to be and who we are on the outside. Like two people trapped on opposite sides of a mirror . . .

A Perfect Circle – The Hollow Lyrics 17 years ago
okay okay okay. now this is just an idea so nobody jump on my ass about it but what about this.... what if maynard wrote the song with a completely different meaning. He made the song to be generalized and did that by taking parts from various songs that he writes so that when the song is made you're not sure what exactly it means because of how versatile it is. So there, I said. Everyone can shoot me now if they want but I had to say something.

Saosin – Voices Lyrics 17 years ago
I agree with a lot thats been said so far. I agree that when they use the phrase"we speak in different voices, when fighting with the ones we've loved" it refers to how the more and more heated an arguement becomes, slowly but steadily people begin to speak not with there outside self, but with the person who they truely are beneath the skin, the person who they really are, and when this happens the voices and tones of the person can greatly change because they are showing who they really are and how they really feel. As far as the phrase" when you're on your way down(through the clouds), and you're waiting for your body's re-entry" refers to how someones ego and mind can seem to sore up into the clouds because of all the things they are releasing, and then how we fall back down into ourselves after we've said what it was that we truely felt and wanted to say . . .
