Jibbs – Chain Hang Low Lyrics 17 years ago
It's a catchy tune. That's why it's lasted for so very many years and has now been included in a rap song.

The lyrics are not exactly new either. I remember older kids singing this as "Do your balls hang low" thirty odd years ago here in England.

The Proclaimers – Letter From America Lyrics 17 years ago
The song was written in the 1980's at the height of Thatcherism.

It starts with the emigration of Scots to America as Pheonix935 says and then turns to the then political situation with the loss of industrial factories such as those at Bathgate and Linwood to make a comparison between times past and contemporary.
