Can – I'm So Green Lyrics 16 years ago
I'm getting a big drugged-out Vietnam vibe from this song and the lyrics. Thinking of the trace lights and their red phosphorescence and a soldier thinking about how inexperienced he is (so green). He feel's everything yet is intent on getting "them." He knows his time is short and he feels the end. It seems simple.

Animal Collective – Turn Into Something Lyrics 16 years ago
I'm getting a total cycle-of-life feeling from this song in a slightly older time. The first verse makes me picture friends gathered together at a dance hall discussing things of the time and the main character taking a girl home and getting her pregnant. The second verse seems clear in that its talking about child birth with the wet clown/cloud coming out to women in green gowns and being put in the nursery in a crib with curtains that have dogs on them. The next verse makes me think of a child with problems with homework, teachers, and overall teenage dissatisfaction. The last verse makes me think of a young man having to deal with providing for himself and dealing with the real world, until this girl knocks and they get "silly" and wait for the fruit of their relations to "turn into something."

The Knife – Na Na Na Lyrics 17 years ago
This is just a skew perspective on the average housewife as zito brings out. This can be applied in any area of the world, but this one really seems to lean more towards the Oriental part of the world because of the key used and the way that the harmonies are constructed. I would even go as far to say that I see this from a Chinese woman's perspective. She puts her family first even in lyrical succession. Her environment seems threatening and similar to the way China would treat women.

The Knife – Marble House Lyrics 17 years ago
It really reminds me of the relationship between me and my grandmother as I was taking care of her while she was dying. In fact, its really close to my perspective of the whole ordeal. I would take care of her physically as the first stanza brings out and she would mend me to her best abilities. I would want to leave the whole ordeal behind me (trail with no end in sight), but then I would be with her and my love for her would never let me do that. I would pray in frustration but at times, I knew that it would be me alone to bring myself out of my depression.

The Knife – Like a Pen Lyrics 17 years ago
This song is actually talking about someone who has been taken over by anorexia (most likely a model). "Sharpen my body like a pen" is directly talking about being thinner and having more defined bodily features. Much of the rest of the song is implying different affects that the disease can have on a person's life. Obsession, self-deprecation, seclusion, etc.
