@[veryken:3645] I just posted a comment up there, and then I saw what you said here. It's funny because I had just said that this could be part of the Lolita soundtrack. He took her from crayons to perfume (made a woman out of her) then when she was old enough she bailed. Probably helped her out quite a bit financially, so she's saying "Thanks, but no thanks." But she's not going to burn any bridges because she may need him again. |

I always thought this song was about someone who was in love with a dirtbag who keeps beating the crap out of her. When she gets away from him, her obsession keeps bringing her back.
So, as if to say, "HIT ME one more time to give me a sign that I'm doing the right thing by staying away from you even though my messed up mind can't forget about you." |

I think this song has an awful message and is very irresponsible. It's basically telling me that it's your own fault if you're bullied for being different. How can it be about an adult relationship if the subject "decided in their youth" on the "policy of truth"? It seems really obvious to me that it's about a person who expressed his individuality from an early age, but they say he should have kept it to himself just to make others happy. He grew up miserable all the time, and all he had to do was hide himself and everything would have been fine. I think it's bullshit. |
