Gotye – Somebody That I Used To Know Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Tell me about it. She looks like a hottie. Oh, great song too. |
The Fray – You Found Me Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Lost and insecure, you found me, you found me Lying on the floor, surrounded, surrounded Why'd you have to wait? Where were you? Where were you? Just a little late, you found me, you found me. if that^^^ doesn't sound like suicide, i don't know what does. |
Frank Sinatra – The Lady Is A Tramp Lyrics | 15 years ago |
one bit i've never really understood was. "Hates California, it's cold and it's damp" i'm guessing this woman is from new york. i would of thought California would be warmer and have better weather than NY. |
Frank Sinatra – The Lady Is A Tramp Lyrics | 15 years ago |
haha, clssic. probably should of thought that one through a little more. great song, meanings been nailed already. just a great shot at how shallow and bitchy some women can be. |
Australian Crawl – Oh No Not You Again Lyrics | 15 years ago |
the lyric in the third verse is "Things ain't looking good for them no love no more" top notch song. i see these guys like the australian version of CCR... kinda. sounds like there's a young couple. the guy is out sleeping around, running amok all over town, while his good wife/girlfriend is at home with her friends, waiting for him to come home. |
Australian Crawl – Hootchie Gucci Fiorucci Mama Lyrics | 15 years ago |
great song. like everyone who is the first to comment on a song says. i can't believe no one else has commented on this song. i think the song is pretty self explanitary. he's telling the story of a woman who chose a man with money over a man she really truely loved. so while she has all the possesions in the world (antiques flown in from venice, a chalet, etc) she could ask for. she doesn't have a partner she actually is in love with (The loving that you never found). |
Talib Kweli – I Try (Feat. Mary J. Blige) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
awesome song. especially love the third verse. |
Charlie Daniels Band – The Devil Went Down to Georgia Lyrics | 16 years ago |
yeah i love the speed and rythem to this song. rock out with your fiddle out! |
Phil Collins – Another Day In Paradise Lyrics | 16 years ago |
yeah everyones pretty much hit the nail on the head with this one. how most people don't appreciate the basic things we have that others could only dream of. like some people are still on dial up internet connections. my heart goes out to them. stay strong. |
Britney Spears – Piece Of Me Lyrics | 16 years ago |
bitch's voice is so synthesized she sounds like cher. |
Nas – Hate Me Now Lyrics | 16 years ago |
great song, think it was the first nas song i ever heard too. especially like the line "n----s fear what they don't understand, hate what they can't conquer, guess its just a theory of man became a monster" |
Paul Simon – 50 Ways To Leave Your Lover Lyrics | 16 years ago |
i think the first line or maybe first 2 lines really sum up the song. like fiesta bhoy said, it's just saying how easy the physical side is to leave someone but the mental side is always the hardest. great song. |
Justin Timberlake – Cry Me A River Lyrics | 16 years ago |
lol @geraldineSS's comments. boy were you wrong. i'd say he jumped off the sinking ship at just the right time. |
Frank Sinatra – Bad, Bad Leroy Brown Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Johnny Cash – The One On The Left Is On The Right Lyrics | 17 years ago |
yeah i like this song, i hate all the politics in music these days. |
Johnny Cash – A Boy Named Sue Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i'd hate to go against the grain but i think the best part is this bit. "Some gal would giggle and I'd get red And some guy'd laugh and I'd bust his head" |
Johnny Cash – Don't Take Your Guns To Town Lyrics | 17 years ago |
missing a verse, it actualy goes. A young cowboy named Billy Joe grew restless on the farm A boy filled with wonderlust who really meant no harm He changed his clothes and shined his boots And combed his dark hair down And his mother cried as he walked out [Chorus] Don't take your guns to town son Leave your guns at home Bill Don't take your guns to town He laughed and kissed his mom And said your Billy Joe's a man I can shoot as quick and straight as anybody can But I wouldn't shoot without a cause I'd gun nobody down But she cried again as he rode away [Chorus] Don't take your guns to town son Leave your guns at home Bill Don't take your guns to town He sang a song as on he rode His guns hung at his hips He rode into a cattle town A smile upon his lips He stopped and walked into a bar And laid his money down But his mother's words echoed again [Chorus] Don't take your guns to town son Leave your guns at home Bill Don't take your guns to town He drank his first strong liquor then to calm his shaking hand And tried to tell himself he had at last become a man A dusty cowpoke at his side began to laugh him down And he heard again his mothers words [Chorus] Don't take your guns to town son Leave your guns at home Bill Don't take your guns to town Filled with rage then Billy Joe reached for his gun to draw But the stranger drew his gun and fired Before he even saw As Billy Joe fell to the floor The crowd all gathered 'round And wondered at his final words [Chorus] Don't take your guns to town son Leave your guns at home Bill Don't take your guns to town |
Nelly Furtado – Say It Right Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this bit doesn't seem quite right to me either. cos i'm pretty sure she's using a double negative (unless the lyrics are wrong) "i can't say that i'm not lost and at fault" "can't" and "not" cancel each other out. meaning she is lost and at fault. and same goes for the next two lines. i can't say that i don't love the light and the dark i can't say that i don't know that i am alive |
Eagles – Lyin' Eyes Lyrics | 17 years ago |
ohh the advertisement changes, it was an ad to catch cheating husbands/wifes. |
Eagles – Lyin' Eyes Lyrics | 17 years ago |
lol @ the advertisement underneath the lyrics. i think psyche was pretty spot on. but i'm not quite sure if she left the old man to be with the young guy, then felt the same and wanted to contact "a boy she knew in school" orrrrrrr if she is still in limbo between the old man and the young guy with the line "She wonders how it ever got this crazy" and "She's so far gone she feels just like a fool" which kinda suggests she's basically left the old guy, but hasn't, yet she's so far gone she may as well of left him. |
Cold Chisel – Bow River Lyrics | 17 years ago |
yeah i always thought of it as, bow river was where he grew up and he couldn't wait to leave, didn't want to work in the local factory, wanted to go find something bigger and better, yet once he got there, he just wanted to go back home. |
Billy Joel – Big Shot Lyrics | 17 years ago |
lol @ ferthuko. it's definetely not about him getting drunk. way too many references to the person being a woman. |
Dire Straits – Your Latest Trick Lyrics | 17 years ago |
yeah a few lines in the first verse suggest it's about prostitution. though it would be good if it were like zinbobdan said, her trick being skillfully breaking up with you. |
The Streets – Could Well Be In Lyrics | 18 years ago |
does rough mean good looking? cos he says when she was out of her work clothes she looked more then rough. |
Patent Pending – Cheer up Emo Kid Lyrics | 18 years ago |
seems kinda repetative. |
The Streets – Don't Mug Yourself Lyrics | 18 years ago |
yeah think this is my fav song off the album. almost every guy could relate to this song. love the line "coz i'm tellin ya i'm servin the aces an its game set and match" also love the end bit, so funny, "fucken crab and shrimp in her teeth" hahaha. is he saying the girl was not as good as he thought or something? |
The Streets – Stay Positive Lyrics | 18 years ago |
yeah most streets songs are pretty straight forward. not much explanation required. i like this line though "Stop dreaming - people who say that are blaspheming. They’re doing nine to five and moaning and they don't want you succeeding " so true, they'll say stop dreaming of something better, when they aren't happy themselves. |
Rihanna – Unfaithful Lyrics | 18 years ago |
so ne-yo wrote this song? did he cheat on his boyfriend? i like the song, i just want to know what happens at the end, does she stop cheating or does she leave him. sequel!!! |
Chris Isaak – Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing Lyrics | 18 years ago |
yeah it's obviously about losing the one you love. not sure why, possibly the bad bad thing was she cheated on him. not sure. either way love the lyrics, great song. |
Chris Isaak – Wicked Game Lyrics | 18 years ago |
why does he start by saying, i don't wanna fall in love then towards the end he says he does want to fall in love? wouldn't it be the other way round, want to fall in love, get hurt then don't want to fall in love again. i think elvis was one of his major inspirations. |
Phil Collins – In The Air Tonight Lyrics | 18 years ago |
we all know what this song is about. eminem saw phil collins drowning stan but didn't help him, then years later when eminem was leaving a bar, phil collins murdered him in an alley way, then clay aitken sang this song to phil on stage. powerful lyrics. |
AC/DC – Who Made Who Lyrics | 18 years ago |
yeah i like the sound of that. i think it can relate to both, the movie and in a religous way. if humans made god and god made you, who picked up the bill and who made who? either way. awesome song. up in my top 3 acca dacca songs. |
James Blunt – Fall At Your Feet (Crowded House cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
haha, they could of used the song, so long jimmy. with a slight alteration of the name. but no i love this song, and it's been covered great by blunty, though i have only heard the live version, the version on the oc sounded a bit lackluster if you ask me. could of been how it was edited. still curious as to the song meaning. i'm not quite sure who is hurting? who hurt who? who the blame is being pointed at?but ehh regardless, great song. |
Led Zeppelin – House of the Rising Sun (The Animals cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I've got led zeppelin- house of the rising sun on my playlist. sounds like a live recording. perhaps they only ever played it live. or it was mistakenly labeled. led zeppelin. sure sounds like them though. |
