what it means to me is that, someone doesnt want to say their in love because it might cause hurt if the other doesnt love them, but their feelings are so strong that "like" doesnt cover it. those are my feelings on the song anyways, its a wonderful song, Beck is a genius. |

what does it really matter who sings it, who plays backup, and ect. i really cant believe more than half of these comments are arguing about this, and calling each others names. just listen to the music and write what you feel. anyways. this songs really nice, i like it...its soothing in a way, but it kinda makes me scared...i dunno...its like trying to cover up something darker, is the feeling...=/. |

wow. i think this is one of my favorite nirvana songs ever... kinda reminds me of a kashmir by led zepelin.. its just so climatic..or something. i dont think that it really means anything... but the part about "can we show our faces now?" i think its about how you never see the real person, but the person is impatiant and tired of putting on a "mask"... |

I think the part

means wanting to go back where it is safe and die... because its safe in the womb and the "umbilical noose" is like a noose, to die when hes safe... oh i dunno though. doesnt quiet make sense...either that or he just wanted to be aborted before he was born....just what i think *shrug* |
