The one reason I love this band - their lyrics are genuine. Their CD is WONDERFUL. Anyway. I was told by my friend that this song was written to his mom, though I'm not really sure. The beginning part with the mom talking is... beautiful. I think that this song is, as you've mostly said, a one side breakup. I think he feels he's not good enough for her, and that she's done so much to him. She's not over him, but he's trying to get over her... I think maybe this song could be for two different people. This is an amazing song, an amazing CD, and an amazing band. |

I actually take offence to that, because as a Christian, I know that Christians do not in anyway find sex 'sinful' or 'evil'. But moving on.. This is one of my top three favorite songs by them. It's just brilliant, and even has such a devlish tune to it. I'm just wondering though, why everyone seems to think this song is about sex. There are by far many other temptations out there that anyone could give into. |

I think it's about a guy who's vain, and thinks he just needs nothing else. He thinks he's right about everything, and always blames somebody besides himself, even though it's always his fault. And refusing to admit he was wrong, everyone left him, and now he's saying "Hey, i don't need you so, screw you, I'm going home." and is going to move on with nothing in his way. I really love this song. I do aggree it has a deep message. For some reason, I like the fact I have no idea what they're talking about. But this (along with Change (In the house of flies)) is my favorite song on the CD. Every time he sings "So God Bless You All" I just smile. |
