Thrice – Words in The Water Lyrics | 12 years ago |
So if one draws a naturalistic conclusion, does that constitute proof of a naturalistic bias? If so, would not a failure to account for overt scriptural references constitute further proof of a naturalistic bias? |
Weezer – Smart Girls Lyrics | 13 years ago |
never get enough of those bad songs |
Sting – When The Angels Fall Lyrics | 13 years ago |
IMO there's nothing depressing about casting off the primitive shackles of religion. i find it a very hopeful and empowering end to the album. |
Aloha – Gold World Lyrics | 13 years ago |
the beauty of community. might even be heaven. |
Three – Been to the Future Lyrics | 15 years ago |

wrong, dogg. this song was written by extreme. |
Underoath – Act of Depression Lyrics | 17 years ago |
songwriter has no idea what it's like to be depressed enough to want to kill yourself. you CAN'T see the good in life and you DO think of who you would hurt. because of the way your mind is working, you think you're doing your loved ones good by leaving them, that they'll be better off without you. the point is that you don't think right when you're clinically depressed. the songwriter doesn't understand suicide at all and is just using it to try and scare people into following his religious beliefs. |
The Rocket Summer – Christmas Present Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"So hey, listen up friends Good news is coming, Soon is the end of all the world’s troubles And all of its sin." is he predicting the apocalypse here? |
...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead – Another Morning Stoner Lyrics | 18 years ago |
the song seems, to me, to be about not being able to relate to religion. to feel about music the way other people feel about their god(s). "Is heaven to you a perfect place? The look of sorrow on a sufferer's face? A field of lives to sow and reap That some of us will never see Why is it I don't feel the same? Are my longings to be blamed For not seeing heaven like you would see; Why is a song a world for me?" at least those two stanzas are, anyway. the first two are up for debate. |
Owen – Note to Self: Lyrics | 18 years ago |
"But I do know that you ain’t no god damn son of a bitch" a reference to "where eagles dare" by the misfits. mike kinsella rules. |
Thin Lizzy – The Boys Are Back In Town Lyrics | 18 years ago |
sweet, sweet guitar work. |
LeAnn Rimes – Probably Wouldn't Be This Way Lyrics | 18 years ago |
"Everybody thinks I've lost my mind But I just take it day by day" that passage is just so damn heartbreaking - the lyrics, the melody, and the way she sings them. great song, but that part especially just kills me. |
The Smashing Pumpkins – Nothing and Everything Lyrics | 18 years ago |
because this song is all about the guitar solos. billy can fucking shred. |
The Smashing Pumpkins – Nothing and Everything Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Dream Theater – Losing Time / Grand Finale Lyrics | 18 years ago |
beautiful. definitely among dream theater's strongest songs lyrically. this is one of my favorites. |
Jackson Browne – For A Dancer Lyrics | 18 years ago |
incredible song. to me, it's mostly about one of the sad truths in life: that one day everyone and everything we love will be gone. but it's all we've got, and you owe it to those you love to make the best of it. probably my favorite jackson browne song, too. |
The Smashing Pumpkins – Annie-Dog Lyrics | 18 years ago |
the drumming in this song is fantastic. go matt walker. |
Abandoned Pools – Goodbye Song Lyrics | 18 years ago |
the subject matter is well-trodden ground, but they still pull it off beautifully. tommy really sings his ass off in the last stanza, which are also some of my favorite lines in the whole album. great song here. |
Caroline – Where's My Love Lyrics | 18 years ago |
beautiful voice and excellent production! great track, and i can't wait to hear more from here. |
Sigur Rós – Heysátan Lyrics | 18 years ago |
this song clearly establishes sigur ros's allegiance to lucifer. just look at the title! "hey, satan! what's up buddy?" like it's no big deal. i love this band a little more with every album. |
