I checked several places and "CUT UP ANGELS" is correct: the line is "And I won't FEEL these slices and cuts" That said, I believe this song is about a person who's significant other is dying or dead. And because of the aformentioned line, is dying due to an accident (perhaps car). He's pleading with them to "open their eyes" And he won't feel the cuts or slices because he wants her to open her eyes. And of course: "All this feels strange and untrue, and I won't waste a minute without you" This meaning, he can't believe this is happening and he can't imagnine life without them. And last but not least: "Get up get out get away from these liars 'cause they don't get your soul or your fire.: Meaning, get away from the doctors who are liars because the singer is saying they just can't be dead, they're lying. And that they don't understand that her sould is so "firey" that she just can't die, that she's a fighter. And that is why this is one of the saddest songs ever. Does anyone else hear this in the song? |

she is definately talented! and her lyrics are accessible and her intelligence is clear. i've heard few songs with words that a lot of people have to look up. this song is bitter but very energetic. to me it's saying that she has had enough; she possibly broke it off, and now he's mad and he's insulting her. but she's had enough so she's not going to let him pull that kind of crap so she's done caring. sort of like me and my ex boyfriend. i broke up with him when he became too demanding too much of a burden and sort of manipulative but he had problems so now when i hear from him i ge tupset and worried. but he still insults me and questions my motives. but i still worried. but my friends have made me see that he never cared for me and i need to focus my energy in someone who cares back. and now i've got to make him sort of "just another song to me". and like "it takes all of my strenght to be stable", it takes all of my strenght to ignore his phone calls and not worry and to disregard his anger. |

This song makes me think of someone who has a close relationship for a friend/girlfriend and is expressing his willingness to be there. it could be suicide. That thought definately did cross my mind. But for me, though it is not nearly as dramatic, it reminds me of one of my best friends, who has always been there for me, though my problems have not been earth shattering. She tells me she may not always say the right thing but she'll do whatever she can and all i need to do is ask for anything. the song itself is sung with a lot of feeling. a very good song! |
