The song is clearly about the preparation for an expedition in eastern Europe. The set is probably eastern Sweden, spring has arrived, ice in Baltic sea is melting, proper offers to the god were given and our brave heroes are ready to sail to bring back riches or face death in the process.
P.S. Octobersnackbar came to the discussion for a song with lyrics about history to say that we are hearing low level music, how many songs about history or anything except love and pop lifestyle there are today in "normal" music of "normal" people? |

I don't think this song needs allot of interpretation, the lyrics are simple providing a wise counselling, a message to help us find our path despite the difficulties.
As for the morning star is the star that comes out just before the sun, for that the ancients thought that it brings out the sun and called it light-bringer (Latin Lucifer, Greek Eosphoros). So the land of morning star is the land who is waiting for the light to come, a metaphor for hope. |

I think it's about a girl who has many suitors who are trying to win her favor. The song is using some strong imagery to show the lust of the suitors. For example this situation is compared with the contest that was held in ancient Sparta in front of the altar of Diania. Apparently the hero of this song believed that he was the one that she loved. The swans is probably a symbolism of purity and their releasing is the decision of our hero to search for a purer heart. |

I think the name Nemo is a symbol of free will, the sea traveling is often used as metaphor for a free life with no bounds to anything.
The one without a name is the one without a purpose, without a goal in life, without a compas. The flower of the dreams of young age is used now only as a display of that time but a flower in a book is dead. So our man (or woman) must find what to do in life, must find a name. The name is Nemo, the seaman, the free, the man who is not belonging to anyone and anything. So, is time to sail to the seas of freedom.
