I adore this song...it's almost got a bittersweet feel to it. Being in that perfect moment, but knowing it would be better to have someone to share it with. It reminds me of the first few months after my ex and I broke up. Taking walks outside and enjoying the true beauty of the world, but then realizing he was no longer around to share it with. Even so, this song makes me happy. His metaphors are so beautiful...ahhhhhhh. |

I'm not doubting it, especially coming from the mouth of Dallas, but I am curious. Songs will always mean something different to all of us, and that's the beauty in them. For me, this song is about building a wall and not letting anyone in. It breaks my heart. I've known many people like this...the untouchable, who refuse to let their hearts be penetrated.
