Mike And The Mechanics – The Living Years Lyrics 13 years ago
This song made me cry as a kid with the thought of my Mom dying. Now that she's gone, it makes me cry even more.

OutKast – 13th Floor/Growing Old Lyrics 14 years ago
And the interlude goes like this:

Something's gotta change
Sounds of laughter and happiness turns my teardrops to rain
Been bearing this burden for too many of my days
Looks like breezes of Autumn done finally blew my way
Like memories of yesterday...

One of the most beautiful songs ever written. It seriously makes me cry every time I hear it.

Incubus – Wish You Were Here Lyrics 18 years ago
I adore this song...it's almost got a bittersweet feel to it. Being in that perfect moment, but knowing it would be better to have someone to share it with. It reminds me of the first few months after my ex and I broke up. Taking walks outside and enjoying the true beauty of the world, but then realizing he was no longer around to share it with.

Even so, this song makes me happy. His metaphors are so beautiful...ahhhhhhh.

The Cribs – Martell Lyrics 18 years ago
So I discovered it in a Telus commercial (shoot me), but hey, I've found a new band I love! Such a fun song...makes me want to get out on the patio, in the summer sun and crack a cold one!

Dallas Green – Save Your Scissors Lyrics 18 years ago
If this song is about not changing for others, then where does the line "There's no way that I want you to be left behind"? I'm not doubting it, especially coming from the mouth of Dallas, but I am curious. Songs will always mean something different to all of us, and that's the beauty in them. For me, this song is about building a wall and not letting anyone in. It breaks my heart. I've known many people like this...the untouchable, who refuse to let their hearts be penetrated. Beautiful song!

Broken Social Scene – Cause = Time Lyrics 18 years ago
Guh...I have nothing to contribute, aside from the fact that I absolutely LOVE this song. I do get a feel that it's about people and their need for religion and beliefs, but it can be interpreted in so many ways.

I don't know Unkle Kracker's version, but this song gives me such a mellow vibe. Pefect song when picturing a sweet jam session. Ahhh...I love it.

Bob Seger – Night Moves Lyrics 18 years ago
This song absolutely KILLS me. There's NOTHING else like it. It brings a feel of sweet nostalgia from days ago...and also perfectly describes the situation i'm in right now. He's a lot younger than me and inexperienced. He's moving far away, but it was sure as hell fun while it lasted...

"We weren't in love oh no far from it
We weren't searching for some pie in the sky summit
We were just young and restless and bored
Living by the sword
And we'd steal away every chance we could
To the backroom, the alley, the trusty woods
I used her she used me
But neither one cared
We were getting our share"

Ahhhh...sweet sweet summertime. Drunken summer nights and sweet lovin'. Makes me cry too...

Coldplay – Talk Lyrics 19 years ago
Gah! So I ran out and bought the CD first thing this morning. I am soooooo disappointed in the version of Talk on the CD. I agree that the other one is much much better. Why did they do this?!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought it'd be my favourite track on the cd...apparently not.

God...I love this bloody song. I've loved it for a while now, but catching up on O.C. season one and hearing this during The Countdown...I almost died. I can watch that scene over and over and over again. Such a beautiful song and so perfect for such a beautiful moment in the show. Brian running for Marissa, Sandy and Kirsten...ohhh...

This song has such a way of making me sad and happy at the same time..

John Lennon – Mother Lyrics 19 years ago
Like SpongeBunny said.

This song breaks my heart...how could a parent ever neglect or leave their child? The pain in his voice while he sings this song, really makes it perfect.

John Mellencamp – Hurts So Good Lyrics 19 years ago
For me, this song is about a man reminiscing about old times with his girl. The relationship is old, but still full of love and he's looking to liven it up again; and get back to that exciting time in his life that he fondly recalls. New relationships amongst young people are often full of hurt and pain...lots of fighting. I think that when he looks back on that time in his life, he longs for it again.
