To further my point, the "grey box" refers to the original Gameboy, not the orignal Nintendo controller. In the second verse, he is sitting in a chair in his room playing the Gameboy.
My reasoning behind this? All of the sounds in the song come from old Gameboy games. |

Does anyone know which "game over" theme it plays at the end? I know it was one of about 3 games I used to play on my original Gameboy back in the day and I can't for the life of me remember which one it was.
I think that is actually the coin collect sound, possibly from Mario Six Golden Coins (one of the games I mentioned could be where the sound at the end comes from).
This song is about Gameboys, not consoles. |

Line 2: "there is war at hand"
Line 4: "After all I think the end is dawning (or starting?)"
Line 6-7: "there'll be ... war it's now or never, we shall stand together"
Regime may or may not be "machine"
I'm too lazy to look up the full version.
That being said, this song is bloody amazing and I love it. One of Blind Guardian's best to date. |

This is such an awesome cover, I love Ville's voice in it.
If it's not obvious, it's about a guy who meets a girl at a saloon and she tells him to join her, gets him drunk on wine, and steals his valuables. Really nice sounding song... good for karaoke duets! |

I don't think it's about suicide at all... just a hopeless love that would "end your life" in a more metaphorical sense. To save someone from the heartbreak and desperation. The lyrics state that he's not jumping anyways. I know a lot of people who have considered themselves dead or dying and that love could save them. I think it refers to it in more of that sense. |
