Marilyn Manson – King Kill 33 Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This is about all the authority figures that blame him (mostly parents.) First he describes how he's been outcast completely. The he describes these "sheep." I believe these are symbolic of teenagers (specifically the religious) and how he is converting them from their religions. Then the "hole" is probably referring to the hole in the center of the compact disc that most of the people here probably dont even have [p2p bastards ;) ] I think the rest of you have pretty much figured out the KK33 part... |
Marilyn Manson – Target Audience (Narcissus Narcosis) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I think this is directed towards parents hateful of Manson. He's talking about being sorry for messing everything up for them. "Am I sorry your sky went black, put your knives in babies backs? Am I sorry you killed the Kennedy's and Huxley too?" is a sarcastic line, basically suggesting that people blame him for everything that is, in fact, our own faults. (I.e. Booth's killing of Lincoln.) "Sorry your Sunday smiles are rusty nails and your crucifixion commercials failed" -I think this is him [sarcasticallly] apologizing for "misleading" teens from christianity, as their parents want them following. The rest is more apologizing except "You're just a copy of an imitation" which is him saying that they [maybe christians?] are all the same. |
Depeche Mode – Halo Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This is by far my favorite DM song. My analysis is similar to rexbasior's, only the "guy" is not a creep. -Just a really horny one. Here goes! "You wear guilt Like shackles on your feet Like a halo in reverse" -is referring to how someone lets their guilt restrain them, and it stops them from doing what they want. "I can feel The discomfort in your seat And in your head it's worse" -could be referring to this persons physical/emotional discomfort caused by aphrodisia. "There's a pain A famine in your heart An aching to be free" -referring to this person's desire to have sex, and 'break free' from those 'shackles of guilt'. "Can't you see All love's luxuries Are here for you and me" -basically saying that sex, one of "love's luxuries," is available for them. "Bring your chains Your lips of tragedy And fall into my arms" -He's requesting her to forget about the guilt/consequences and engage. and lastly, the chorus "And when our worlds they fall apart When the walls come tumbling in Though we may deserve it It will be worth it." -Is saying that having sex will have drastic, life-altering, consequences that by engaging will be completely be their fault. -However, the intercourse will make it worth it. Wow... ¡Estoy en caliente ahora! |
