The Who – Boris The Spider Lyrics

Entwhistle wrote this because he was afraid of spiders when he was a child. I also heard another theory in which "Boris the Spider" represented the Soviet Union, which creeped and crawled to execute their "evil deeds", which means The Who was making fun of the paranoia of the Cold War at the time. |

I think this song is about a girl who thinks she is in love with this one guy. Whereas the guy thinks they are not soulmates, and she should keep looking. |

The Who – Baba O'Riley Lyrics

I heard this song is a tribute to Pete's spiritual guru, Meher Baba. It was also a tribute to Terry Riley, an electronic music composer who gave Towshend the idea for the synthesizers. |

This song is obvious...
It's about revolutions and how the new regime almost always ends up just as bad as the old regime:
Meet the new boss/same as the old boss |

This song was written by Pete Towshend for his future wife Karen. It was saying that even though he was away for long periods, he would always keep a watchful eye on her. |

The Who – My Generation Lyrics

This song is about the rebellion and upheaval of the 60s. Roger stuttered so it would make him seem like a teen high on speed. |
