i really like this song. It's pretty sweet. I corny little thing about this song... a horse i knew was named otherthanthenight, everyone called her Brook. Well, she was this high class arabian horse and i was on foal watc hthat night with her. SHe was supposed to foal sometime in the next few days. Well, my friend and i started signing to her.... it was pretty sweet. Anyway... i haven't heard this song in a while.. i think i will go play it |

this song strikes a temder note for me. My best friend, i wont mention his name) and i hear this song all the time in his truck. Well, what he doesn't know is that i have been in love with him for six years. I cant tell him because i dont want to ruin our perfect friendship. Well, one day he saud to me "If only i could find someone like that (the woman in the song). I would be so happy" it was so awful. I wanted to tell him right then. I already practically am his girlfriend, we spend so much time together, but he just doesn't see.. |

THis is a sad song. I believe it is about a a man (Jean) who is experiances the pain of being dumped by his girlfriend(s). He would really just like to hide away and not even wake up in the morning-"oh i could hide beneath the wing..." but every morning is the same and he has to face a new day. He has just been dumped by his girlfriend -"you once thought of me as a white night on his steed.." but now she treats him like trash. SHe was a homecoming queen. THis is obvious in the chorus "oh what can it mean to a daydream believer and a homecoming queen" 'it' is Jean's love for his ex girlfreind... it meant nothing to her, just like his other ex, the spacey daydream believer. Despite the upbeat happy tune, this song is sad and depressing. But i love it jsut the same, just becasue I chose not to analize songs as a hear them, I do it when i read them and get a cahnce to think... comment number two.. commplete... signing out.. it's Jessi |
