yes, yes, even if brett grew his hair out and sorta looks like a dirty jew now...he is downright sexy when he performs. and this song is his best. packed with enotion, no matter how you view it. i think it's up there with This Bitter Pill by Dashboard for most emo song...just in a different way.
Definitely my favorite TJT song. |

i really, really like the lyrics to this song, even though i'm firmly agnostic. the whole point being that though humans have managed to pretty much fuck up the idea of christianity, it began with a decent purpose in mind. and that although christians might be the "biggest sinners of them all", some still hold the main idea of christianity as important. it's an impressive song, i think. |

it's come to my attention lately that i love this song. i adore the words and the harmony in it...i can't say it's beautiful, but it's touching. passionate. i actually wrote something like "i'm not asking for everything, but sure, i could use a hand" once, before i heard this song...so i very much relate to what he's written. knowing people...but not really knowing if you can -trust- them...yet still caring for them very much...is something i can understand quite well.
yeah, "never really mastered disinterest" is really good too. damn good lyrics. |

you know...it's funny...when i first heard this song, it reminded me of a cross between limp bizkit and n'sync. it's grown on me, though.
i, personally, relate to it. it reminds me of a few friendships i've been in. kinda. but it is a powerful song. gives me a bit more respect for them as a band. did they write this song theirselves? |

agreed, this song is absolutely beautiful. the piano in it is really simplistic, but very soothing...but at the same time it can sound very passionate. i rather like the line "love is not a victory march". i wonder why in the world they picked it for Shrek. hm. |

*lol* so much hostility. i thought the lyrics were a bit...extreme...but i adore this song. he sings it with such emotion, so much grief in his voice, which leads me to believe that he -knows- what he's singing about, and that's not always the case. the harmonies are beautiful...it's a very, very good song. whether it's about religon, the easter bunny, his brother...whichever. all songs are open to interpretation. |

blink will always be punk to me. they still have the faster beats and act like they always have. they haven't sold out, they've just gotten popular, and i know if i were in their position i wouldn't have been arguing. granted, i don't care much for this song...-this- song doesn't sound punk to me, but the rest of this album, the newest album, and their older albums are pretty much true to what they claim to be. if you wanna yell about sell outs or posers, go listen to mxpx's new stuff. now -that's- sad. |
