Emo = emotive hardcore. The emotive referred to the guitar and vocals, not the lyrics. I suggest you kids start doing your research starting with Husker Du's, "Zen Arcade." Really the record that led to emo in the first place. The end.

hopesfallfan i believe is correct... while i do believe this song does have a religious undertone.. as an atheist I can turn what he's saying and put it to heart... it's the same emotion felt by all.. regardless of what religion you are, or aren't...

my favorite .hopesfall. song.. actually probably my all time favorite song as well.. simply beautiful and the passion that Doug, as well as Ryan, put into this song just takes my breath away.. and it fits every mood.. depressed, happy, angry, etc. I can listen to this song with every mood I'm in.. I can't say that about a lot of songs. |

there is simply no way to describe .hopesfall. other than amazing... The one thing I love about this band is the lyrics, and the way they bring the music into it.. the instrumental parts are what I love best... not to mention the passion that you can hear when they sing/scream.
This song is amazing.. not to mention the whole EP.. I love the line... "I guess you found a way to make ten minutes last forever" |

You know from a non-christian point of view, which would be mine lol, it takes on another meaning... at least in my own mind... but for me, it's just about feeling alone, and just needing that "special" someone to reach out to you... and that one person can make everything alright... really it's a beautiful song, i'll go even as far to say love song... switchfoot is amazing... and i love them... and i'm glad i'm not closed - minded enough to blow off christian music cause I'd be missing out on some beautiful songs and awesome musicians... music is great and can bring so many people together... anyways that's all... i know you all cared to read that |

hmmm... i can't believe you even went their with the "bubble gum band"... do you know how long chevelle has been deserving this? that comment is honestly stupid... you're the only person i've heard even say that... everyone else is happy the exposure that they're finally getting, because they deserve it... and the guys won't change... they haven't in the years that i've been listening to them... and I HOPE they become known... i want them to become known... i want everyone to finally hear what they've been missing, and be touched by Pete's lyrics... everyone who hasn't heard this band, needs to... they're amazing class act guys, and besides that they're amazing musicians... the only comment i have on the soad thing is that line is old and tiring... open your mind
and back to the song... it's awesome to listen to when you're blaring the stereo up as load as possible... then again all their stuff is... but especially this album... and this song has a calming effect on me, like no other |

It's been 3 years since the first time I heard this song... it got me hooked on Chevelle and I immediately went out and bought Point #1... Just this song was all I needed... and it wasn't a dissapointment at all... this song is amazing live as well... and this is still one of my favorite songs period to this day... The whole album actually is one of those that doesn't get old over time... |
