Rush – Hand Over Fist Lyrics

A great vocal vocal perfomance from Geddy, and the band as a whole. Neil's insistent drumming really carries this track along. |

Rush – Red Tide Lyrics

This is a commentary on AID's, as the first verse strongly indicates. The line "lovers pause to find an open store" tells us whats going on. Without a doubt the ebst track on Presto, both Muscially and lyricaly superior. |

Rush – Anagram (for Mongo) Lyrics

A very clever song, bot only musically, but also lyrically. The whole anagram thing they ahve going on is very interesting, yet if they called the song anything else you probably wouldn't notice that. Very cool, one of the strongest tracks on Presto. |

Rush – Superconductor Lyrics

I love the line "the stage a world", very reminiscent of Limelight. A great song, and the section after the "thats entertainment!" is very cool. Well worth a listen, as is any Rush song, but this one has a particular strength to blow you away. |

Amazing. The acoustic sections are very cool, with the drums backing them, and one of Geddy's best perfomances to date. |

Rush – Scars Lyrics

Instantly we open with those dark, african like percussiv beats, and a very strong, biting bass tone that has a ncice bass and midrange to round it off. Very cool, good for fans of Mystic Rythms. Its much like that track, but more up-tempo. |

Rush – War Paint Lyrics

A very upbeat song to be coming on straight after The pass, but that's jsut testament to Rush, that they can pull this kind of thing off. A song about girls and boys, need I say more? |

Rush – The Pass Lyrics

|
The song is written about the epidemic of teenage suicide. As Neil peart says "It still brings a tear to my eye to play that song, I think that's one of our better crafted ones lyrically and musically".
very strong both musically and lyrically, both upbeat and melancholic, further proof, if it were ever needed that Rush are the best band ever. |

Rush – Chain Lightning Lyrics

Wonderful lyrics, quite moving when you think about it. Quite an agressive sound, even for Presto. The restraint of the chorus is nicely offset by the heavy, rythmic pulse of the verses. |

Rush – Show Don't Tell Lyrics

Very interesting both lyrically and musically, I'm surprised no-one has commented on this one yet! An amazing piece of music, with a very strong guitar sound, and Geddy's bass playing is as refined as ever (thats Wal basses for you). Amazing. An excellent way to open the album. |

Limp Bizkit – The Priest Lyrics

The lyrics are a fucming sham. Notonly is fred Durst lusting after chilfren now, but he trivalises the death of Dimebag that is "at best gauche and at worst a fucking insult". what a fucking terrible band. |

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark – Enola Gay Lyrics
| 19 years ago

There was much speculation as to the reasons for dropping the bomb. Some suggested that the money spent on developing it was the reason for seeing if it worked on a built up area. Some suggested that the US merely demonstrate its power to the japanese by dropping it on an island threatening them with it if they did not surrender.
As for the metaphors, the kiss that will not fade is the scar left upon japan and modern history by the dropping of the bomb. its a fantastic song, rather deep and with a great melody and tune. In the remixed version it is rather interesting in that they have some vocal samples from the pilot. |

Erasure – Freedom Lyrics

Really cool song, with a pretty dark, wackey video. Great tune, an Erausre Classic, with that great staggered chord work right at the beginning.
I'm still wonderng about the video, and why the screen goes black and messages like "hello mum" and "wooka-wooka-duck" come up! |

Rush – The Fountain Of Lamneth Lyrics

Amazing piece of music. Unlike other "epic" songs by the likes of Opeth, this one actually manages to hold your attention, until its conclusion. Bacchus Plateau is just fantastic, what a melody! Further evidence, if it were ever needed, that Rush are the best band ever. |

I cant believe that on-one has commented on this song yet, it's an amazing piece of music, without a doubt one of Rush's best. The end section is so awesome, when everything except the drums, keys and geddy drop out, its amazing. Wow. |

The Beautiful South – Song For Whoever Lyrics

great song, I love the way the verses go into the chorus with the dual vocals, creates a great "layered" feeling when the piano line locks in. Overall, a very cool, very early 90's piece of work, witha good video too. |
