hmm, well this got a bit out of hand.
To clear things up I decided to comment on Cool Cat as my nicknames Kat so I just thought Id pick it (yes I know its spelt differently) it was just a random comment, not even about cool cat. I was a little annoyed at some of the comments I was reading so I thought Id have a moan, didnt want to start an arguement or anything.
The person who is gmandi1708 is actually my friend so i really doubt she was being mean making that comment, just another comment not to be taken too literally. as for geek_uk, i dont know them but i agree with most of your comments.
Anyways, Im beginning to talk crap so...as fellow queen fans (if thats what zoom even is) then cant we all just learn to get along? |

Heres a new idea, though you'll all probably disagree with me, this song may have undertones about the Eagles splitting for a time and could be partially about Henleys thoughtsor feelings he was going through...'people filled with rage' or 'pride and competition' could symbolise the 'struggles' the band went through. Disagree if you like it makes better conversation than everyone having the same ideas. |

Bruce Hornsby plays the piano on this song-think he cowrote it too but dont hold me to that. If you havn't heard of him (as i seem to be the only one who has) you should get hold of a copy of his cds or something becausehe's very talented and his musics all similar to this song. |

why am I the first to comment on this!? disappointed in you all! if, like me, you love this song i reccommend you download the live version (the one where he says the song took 42 mins to write and only 4 mins to sing at the beggining) it's an excellent version. |

Its really weird how this song does coincide with 9/11.There are just so many ideas Henley picks up on that mirror the events e.g.'one day they're here next day they're gone'.

Just thought Id comment in the hope to find any real queen fans out there rather than just people who have heard the beat to a couple of songs at a sports event and think that they are Queen's biggest fan.
That's that off my chest, now, what else...oh yeah, why is it that some people seem to think that every queen song has been written on the subject of Freddies death, Freddie being gay or Freddie having aids?! Get over it! 1. Not all queen songs were written by Freddie and 2. Unless Freddie had some kind of hidden power how could he possibly know he was going to have aids in the early years-think about it people! |

Despite most people thinking that this song was written by Freddie about him being gay, the song was actually written by John Deacon and in my opinion I think it was kinda inspired by the fact that John's seen as the quiet one but he'd love to 'break free' or it could mean that he wants to end a relationship but feels he can't because he 'can't get used to living without' the person in particular, so there you go, I've given you plenty of points to comment on now so write a comment because I can't believe only2 people have commented on such a great song. |

The song was written by Brian 'the legend' May (not Freddie), I suppose it's open to interpretation, but in my opinion it has nothing to do with Freddie having aids but is actually Brian writing about his affair with Anita Dobson, he was 'torn between the lover and the love you leave behind'. Brian hit a really low point in his life when he wrote this song what with the affair and Freddie being diagnosed as having aids, he was contemplating suicide and that is how the song came about. |
