I totally agree prophet... I was dissapointed too. But it's still a cool song. But not as good as the Colour and Shape" but "Nothing Left To Lose" was also sorta dissapointing. This song was said to be written by Dave to Courtney Love because of his hate for her. He once quoted that "Actors should never try to be musicians." Just like Courtney Love... and of course he mentions blondes. I'm not sure though. He's never clerifyed that, not that I know of anyway. |

Well, you guys just proved to me that Kurt Cobain's not the only one that's overrated... Dave Grohl isn't that great of a musician. I admit he's great... but this song couldn't be on the top 10 songs ever written. People say that when they're ignorant of other people's music... go listen to Jeff Buckley or something. Now that guy was an underrated musical/lyrical genius. I'm not saying this song isn't good... it's a very very good song that i like a lot... but, jeez... you guys sound like there was no music before the Foo Fighters came along. |

There's always times when my mom doesn't want me to go a concert w/ my friends and all of a sudden I just wanna go even more... and then driving up to Phoenix (I live in Tucson) w/ my friends and feeling the anticipation of the concert to come is great. Yeah, this is a song about Chris remembering a past relationship that obviously didn't work out. Maybe he resents that it didn't and maybe he's thinking positively and thinking, well it was all for the best but I had fun while it lasted. Who knows? |
