who are the retards that say this song is about cliff dieing?? considering he fucking recorded the song with the band, and don't say that it's a suicide note cause he was squished by a bus. Yes this is a suicide note, no it does not have to do with Jason, Maybe James felt like shit once and wrote it maybe he wrote it what he thought a friend was thinking or maybe he just felt like writing a song about suicide..... THis song is kick ass, when I heard it played live during the reload tour I almost crapped my pants, it was a weird extended version where just when yuo thought it was over BAM!!! "Caught under wheels roll " over and over and over > it waas not over done it was just FAN-FUCKINGTASTICAL !!!

Hey, you guys are pretty much bang on with the meaning of this song, Turns out from a dvd I saw that Jaymez origionally wrote the song for a lady, Lars heard it, Loved it and thought it should be a metallica song. It is, like every other metallica song open for inturpretation. It may have been modified by the band to be about the fans but that is also said indirectly on the dvd too |
