i think brightlover got the interpretation right. blue is depression or despair. everything in his life is blue, and he needs it to survive.
now if we surmise that yellow could equate with happiness, and he says he once got gangrene, isn't it logical that a blue person who was slowly getting more yellow would be green?
then the doctor used a blue bag to turn him blue again, cuz he just didn't want to turn yellow and be happy.
then "once in a blue moon there is a blue sky"
blue sky is like a happy or good moment. so he says once in awhile he's happy.
i definitely don't see this directed towards his nephew if he wants to show him "no lies, just love." |

this song is so awesome. many people overlook the slightly less popular Cure stuff, but this one has such a great driving beat, and the song itself sounds all happy and stuff, yet the lyrics are about heartbreak. i love it. |

dagoboy, why would manson say " I know i meant me?" as opposed to "YOU know i meant me". he's trying to prove a point to an ex-girlfriend that while they were dating everything was about them as a couple, but after the breakup, he's saying "well you know it really wasn't about US it was about ME". so yeah these lyrics are right. |

Manson doesn't necessarily "dislike" christians, but he criticizes christianity because he apparently is in some way affected by the corruption of today's so called "christianity." and though you are apparently affected by manson's music, this is not the place to criticize his works, so please go somewhere else if you're not going to be constructive. thank you! and btw, manson isn't a weak person; if he were, he wouldn't be discussing all these controversial issues in his music.
i love this song....i do think it's about christianity, though i can see how it might be relating to an old girlfriend....i mean, if she was really christian and all that, maybe he's referring to her in particular being a hypocrit and stuff. but this is some good stuff. :) |

sounds to me like this song is talking about a guy she really liked....wanted to fuck, and people were saying she loved him....people were saying she had influenced him a bunch to turn him into something else "somebody says i made you"
but she gets rejected, despite all her hidden "talents", and she revels in rubbing her good qualities in his face so he's jealous and realizes what he's turned down. she says "maybe you're not good enough - good enough to make me blush."
but since the person she's molded into her perfect mate doesn't want her now that they've reached their perfection, she says whatever because she can just make another. |
