VNV Nation – Airships Lyrics | 21 years ago |
I don't think I've heard this song, but a friend showed me the lyrics and, being a writer, I choose to interpret it to be about something someone has created--maybe a SOMEONE that someone has created. -cocks head- Although that would pose some problems. Ah, well, I'll save further judgement until I hear it. ^_^ Linc |
The Juliana Theory – Liability Lyrics | 21 years ago |
(Hey, only one comment per two minutes? Bummer, dude. -waits-) Okay, NOW two words: Political. Rant. ^_^ Linc (watch this get posted twice...) |
The Juliana Theory – Into The Dark Lyrics | 21 years ago |
This is the song that got me started on The Juliana Theory. It seems to be about a runaway, but maybe that's just because of certain characters of mine. ... No, I think it's about a runaway. ^_^ Linc |
Kevin Max – Dead End Moon Lyrics | 21 years ago |
I LOVE the sound of this song. But you missed a line. "Like a garden hidden from the keep How long I've waited" This is a song you have to listen to with headphones, turned up as loud as you dare so it sounds like the music's coming from inside your head. ^_^ Linc |
Kevin Max – The Secret Circle Lyrics | 21 years ago |
A very cool and artistically unique song. Now if only someone could decipher what he says in the background. "You must beware of ???" "Is that what she meant?" etc. Linc |
Rich Mullins – Love's As Strong Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Hm... Maybe a seperate spot should have been made for Canticle stuff. ... This is such a cowboy love song. -grins- But most of it was taken from Solomon. |
Rich Mullins – Cry for Freedom Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Ah. This is from the Canticle of the Plains soundtrack, which is a musical based on the life of St. Francis of Assissi (sp?). Rich Mullins didn't actually sing these songs. Michael Tait did this one. Good song... Linc |
The Juliana Theory – Everything Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Cool song. I need to go find it and listen to it now. ^_^ Reminds me of my favorite song, entitled... well, Love is Everything. By Whiteheart. |
The Juliana Theory – Do You Believe Me? Lyrics | 21 years ago |
One of the nonreal people I know analyzed this song, and I'm not going to be able to do it half as well as he did, so I'll just post a few thoughts. It seems to be aimed at someone the singer has known for a long, long time--most like since childhood: "I've never had a way till now to let it out" seems to imply an old relationship in which the singer is accustomed to be under the influence of the person he's singing to, and has finally found a way to express how he really feels. Some people just don't know how much they hurt us. Or they don't care. Either way, they're too busy trying to smash us into the mold they think we should fit into (most often a copy of their own selves) to see us as an actual *person*. This is my new favorite Juliana Theory song. ^_^ It used to be Into the Dark, until I found this one. Linc |
X Japan – Forever Love Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Starlight--I have a translation that I copied from somewhere... I don't want to risk copyright infringement, though, so you could just do what I did and do a google search for "X-Japan lyrics translation Forever Love" or whatever song you want. ^_^ Anyway... I'm not much of a J-rock/pop fan, but this is *such* a good, sad, beautiful song. It was on the soundtrack for the X anime movie (which is so different from the series!), and putting characters to the song gives it a whole new dimension. (Not that I've seen the movie... sounds too gory for my taste.) Uh, yeah, no more ranting. Linc |
Rich Mullins – Love that Knows no Bounds Lyrics | 21 years ago |
This song has an almost creepy sound to it. It's cool. ^_^ Rich Mullins seemed to write about the hereafter a lot, and always with such longing... I guess he's happy where he is now. ... I wonder if he can wire down some more songs from Heaven? o.O;; Linc |
Dashboard Confessional – Anyone, Anyone? Lyrics | 21 years ago |
I was doing research on artists I know nothing about, decided to do a search on Dashboard, read this song, fell in love, and married it. Which is rather odd, since I identify more with the person he's singing to than the singer himself. Well, maybe a little bit of both. Linc |
Sixpence None the Richer – Love, Salvation, The Fear Of Death Lyrics | 21 years ago |
I read the lyrics before I actually heard it. I fell in love with the words, but the music took a while to get used to. It seems... out of place. I love this song. It's preaching at me. I tend to like songs that do that. o.O;;; (i.e.: anyone, anyone by dbc) Linc |
Sixpence None the Richer – Angeltread Lyrics | 21 years ago |
This song could mean so many things. That's the thing about poetry--it attempts to verbalize something that can't really be described. Searching. Searching for what? Well, maybe each listener can decide that for him/herself. Linc |
Plumb – Unforgivable Lyrics | 21 years ago |
I first saw this song on Z-TV about five years ago, never heard form it again, and then made my sister find it on WinMX. ^_^ I love this song. (Though the lyrics seem to be a bit off... maybe my ears need tuning.) It's about a girl/woman/female who is just beginning to come to terms with her past. It really breaks at the bridge: "No matter what I've done/Or is done to me/Nothing is unforgivable/Or unable to be set free..." And... yeah. Linc |
Plumb – Crazy Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Hm, some of this song wasn't posted: "Take a step to the right, and then you walk by" Or some such thing. Good song. Especially when you're feeling snubbed. ^_^ Linc |
Whiteheart – Love Is Everything Lyrics | 21 years ago |
This would be my favorite song in the whole world. and actually, they sing "lo, lo, love" but it makes more sense if you type "love" three times. ... Yeah. Linc |
Whiteheart – Morningstar Lyrics | 21 years ago |
All right, it has been fixed. |
Kevin Max – Existence Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Gar, I was half-hoping someone would have figured out the rapping part not included in the CD jacket... Ah, well. Good song. I like this song. I think it can apply to just about everyone, if they can make sense of it, that is. ^_^ |
Whiteheart – Morningstar Lyrics | 21 years ago |
ACK!!! i wrote "drying" instead of dying!! -drowns in red pools of embarrassment- |
Whiteheart – Morningstar Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Whiteheart is a rather old band, but they're my favorite. ^_^ I love this song... You have to hear it in order to fully appreciate it. It has such a unique, romantic, haunting kind of long-y... sound... yeah. ^_^;;; Linc |
