Sara Bareilles – Bottle It Up Lyrics 10 years ago
"They'll be girls across the nation that'll eat this up."
The fact that she says this, in my opinion, indicates that she fell in love with a "player", because she says says "girls across the nation that'll eat this up". That means he's dated a lot of girls, and uses "girls across the nation" as a hyperbole, or an exaggeration to show how many girls he's been with, and uses "eat this up" as how those girls will relate and agree with Sara. "They'll be girls across the nation that'll eat this up" refers, overall, that this man is a player and the girls who've dated him will relate to the song.

"As soon as you start to make room for the parts that aren't you it gets harder to bloom in a garden of love". This was hard to interpret for me, but I realize that by "as soon as you start to make room for the parts that aren't you" the "parts that aren't you" as she refers to, are his fake characteristics. In other words, he acts like someone he isn't, and he is not truthful with Sara about who he truly is, and is focusing and "making room" for the "parts that aren't him". She says that once he does that, "it's harder to bloom in a garden of love" which means that it's hard for her to trust him, which makes their relationship untrustworthy, and THAT makes it harder for them to fall for each other even deeper.

With that, I draw my conclusion that he is a player, and Sara does not trust him. Probably not 100% accurate, but definitely something close to it.

Foster the People – Pumped Up Kicks Lyrics 10 years ago
And it was probably the kids with the nice "pumped up kicks" that were bullying him because maybe he was kinda poor and the kids with the pumped up kicks (the rich kids or the popular kids) would tease him because of that. I think your answer is correct.

Icona Pop – I Love It Lyrics 10 years ago
OK, this song is about a chick who had a breakup, when they lived together, threw his sh** down the stairs and trashed his stuff, and started doing stupid things because she was angry with him. Wow, ok. This chick is a retard. Sorry, but this songs lyrics are crap. Absolutely no figurative language or artistic metaphors besides some slight metaphoric reference in the bridge, and it's an obnoxious song! I mean, I'm not all that crazy about listening to an annoying British lady complain about her ex and repeating the same exact things until the bridge comes around. Terrible song, as well as most of the mainstream songs that are popular right now. Here comes the hate comments below:
