So, how did you turn out? Still as your own person?

Wise men wonder - A man is wise to give in to himself, not society, or for the love of material envy. So a wise man will wonder (think deeply) about what will truly make him happy, not accepted. This is the wise move.

Strong men die - Men are taught in this society, that in order to be strong and "make it", they will have to ignore their true selves that scream inside their cold body. To ignore their heart and forget about realizing true happiness. A fake it till you make it move which usually ends in someone that will just cut themselves off and die inside long before their physical selves do. This is not a wise move.

Sorry for all the grammatical errors. I don't think as clearly as I typically do when expressing such overpowering emotions. It actually cause a strain for me to feel for this person. Hope you get the point. OuttyFive! :)

That was a beautiful and emotionally insightful view of this song. :)

I've put up with someone like he is describing for years. In the end however, after he sings the "Lay your hand on me one last time", I believes he means it for the last time. After so long time of remaining there for someone who will not reach out, you let them go eventually because you have to. You're dead too a little when every time you hold their hand. It's a way of loving someone enough to walk into hell for another, putting yourself in harm’s way to show them the love you feel they deserve and making an attempt to pull out.

A lot of people have been truly introduces to their true love. But there's an innate sense when you do. Feel it in your chest, in your heart, down to the very core of your very fiber. It's as if they are with you in spirit. Most people interpret the action was stupid and weak. You and that person are the only one to know what's happening. However, that's what makes your connection so special. It is not that a person is weak, at least when true love is apparent, it's that you felt enough for them to make the attempt to show them that you are actually the strongest person they will ever know. Refusing to leave someone's "side" is letting them know that you feel them and their pain and that they are not alone and that even though they cannot trust anyone that they can trust and count on you. As such, you don't leave their side, because someone needed not to, if even just once in their life.

Of course for people with these issues, you may uplift them inside, but they need to have to want and desire to get off it, see what's right in from of them (what they've always long for), and just believe in something. The ones who wait not only long for that person, but most importantly their happiness. The ones who wait and cut you all the breaks (because no one else ever had and whether they know it or not, they act of this comes from deep and sincere love, which by the end grows into unconditional love) become stronger as they let you go, understanding that choosing death and darkness and also the loss of such a deep love will break their heart and forever change them at the core, they will still let them go with unwavering and unconditional love, "Show me how it ends, it's alright. Show me how defenseless you really are. Satisfied and empty inside. That's alright. Let's give this another try. (Allowing the other to die in peace, along with their false burdens). It's alright, it's alright, and it’s alright".
As you will notice, he doesn't say let's give it another try at the end. He allowed her to show him how it ends and she did. Parting is such sweet sorrow.

I think what is being said in these lyrics is that someone's got to be the one to never back down from the crowd. From my point of view, we all learn from an early age that it's easy (even "best") to agree with the majority, even if you do not agree. I believe that most people buy into to this thought process because I've seen most people do it every day of my life. When most people come across situations whether at work, in a relationship, politically, or socially when they have a different opinion or believe about something and are their opposition is put up against the numbers and thrown to the masses, they fold. Why? Because who wants to be involved in an unjust fight? Who wants to be the one opposed by the masses? It's a scary and insecure position for anyone to face.

Then there are those who for some reason that never quit; even when odds, experience, or logic have likely already predicted the greatest possibility of failure. Whether it is a question of right/wrong, pride, ego, justice, or even freedom, something prevents them from selling out their side of it. The saddest thing about it is that when others see this going on in day to day life and realize what's happening, they too will come across the same predicament and be forced to make the same choice within themselves...(Are you tough enough, basically.)

I believe in all honesty, that the world needs "these bulls" to prosper. Hence, the statement, "Hats off to the bull." How would we have gotten anywhere as a society or democracy if there was never anyone with the balls big enough to say hey, eff you guys, respect my authoritay! Or atleast a different way to think, believe, or live.

(Like saying, if no one(s) will pay the price, then not everyone would have a way of getting what they need. Which in my thoughts are the basics, like freedom of speech or the right to bare arms.

As an American, this is what my country was founded on.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, which among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.)

(There's an injustice we ALL pay when everyone isn't treated with respect or thoughtfulness. "A bull" will see this and definitely be the one to stand up and do something about it. Hey, they still have a chance, right???)

(Okay, so most time this happens in our day to day life, it's something way smaller than anything I mentioned previously. You know, like, someone admitting that they agreed with Bush about the "war" on violence...That's a scary freaking thing to say now-a-days though, right? Might catch a couple of boo's or rocks thrown your way for it. However, my point is that we don't speak our minds or follow our hearts most times out of fear. So of course, in our own shame or guilt, we'd hate to see or watch someone else go down for own cowardliness.)

While he's safe for the moment, (guess what he's learning)
He's never safe from the crowd, come one

(Unfortunately, a lot of times, there can be extreme consequences for standing up for something most will say they were against. Whether you win or lose, people will either hate you for doing it, hate you for changing it, or hate you for even trying. We can all probably agree that "a bull" may not have too many friends or allies during or after the fact. Therefore, in the beginning, you're just speaking your mind right? No harm, no fowl, yeah? WRONG! Human Beings just aren't that dignified yet, I suppose....? So yeah, I can also agree, the bull will never really be safe from the crowd's ridicule.)

Aw, the bull. Brave! Hat's off, indeed.
