The line after your favorite is what what strikes me.
"And if you don't believe me ask yourselves."
We all put up these walls and are "lost in the harbour" |

Wow I was on board with the environment interpretation, but this makes a lot more sense! Great explanation. the only thing is, if this is what was intended in this song, is it a pro-religion song or an anti-religion song? |

La Dispute – King Park Lyrics

I agree that the question screamed at the end is extremely powerful, but the lines that struck a chord with me the most in this song were
"Three days later they made funeral plans. The family.
Three days later a mother had to bury her son."
Now there is the ultimate tragedy- a mother burying her son. |

La Dispute – Safer In the Forest/Love Song For Poor Michigan Lyrics

I had to look up the meaning of "Tuebor." It turns out it is latin for "I will defend," and it is also the state motto of Michigan. That line at the end makes me want to live in Michigan and defend it myself... I agree with mxbrady - this is incredible poetry. |

"Yahso" is jamaican slang for "right now". it is said so much in the song that it must mean how times are changing. mistress martin is "making things go slow". the world is "on the go". |
