Gnarls Barkley – Who's Gonna Save My Soul Lyrics | 13 years ago |
"Made me feel like somebody. Like somebody else. Although he was imitated often felt like I was being myself. Is it a shame that someone elses song was totally and completely depended on?" This lyric was just like me awhile back. i lost my own sense of musical identity because i would constantly play jimi hendrix songs on the guitar and i felt like just another impersonator.. to where i didnt even have my own stuff i "completely Depended on" his music rather than my own. when i would immitate his songs it really did feel like i was being myself. |

this song mentions nothing that even hints that any of his heroes were gangbangers or anything for that matter. he said he had heroes he didnt say what they were. its just something to relate to because everyone has heroes when your a kid that you want to be just like and just because he's black does not mean theyre gang bangers. for all you know his hero was ghandi but the song says nothing about who his heros were. rascist ass |

how can you say the song is not about deep depression when it says "it's not just good, it's great depression." |
The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Up From The Skies Lyrics | 13 years ago |
song is about aliens simple as that. he is talking in first person from an alien's perspective who wants to learn more about earth and its people. I love the part where he calls earth a people farm... clasic. maybe thats how jimi saw himself, someone who didnt understand why people do things like say... keep slaves"I heard some of you got your families Living in cages tall and cold". and also waste their lives away by never striveng to acomplish anything,"And some just stay there and dust away Past the age of old." |

The Roots – Livin' In A New World Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Call me crazy but this song is about the illuminati. I don't neccisarily believe in the illuminati but i definately believe that the few control the many, which people may call those few the illuminati. take a look at this lyric, "they hear you when you're whispering so try to keep quiet you won't even realize that yous a twinkle in the all-seeing eye." the all seeing eye is considered by many an illuminati symbol.so this whole song is pretty much talking about someone knowing what your doing and saying through cameras and phones and such, then he throws that lyric at you to let you know whos listening. that your a twinkle in the all seing eye. another illuminati thing you will hear about is the new world order. well, look a the title livin in a new world. new world. new world order. well thats what i have to say, not that i beleive in all this crap anyways but i dont disbelieve in it. so go crazy with paranoia that someone knows what your doing all the time and is controling you... or dont |
