| The song, to me, is signifying the end of the world as written about in many books of the bible. The stars falling from the sky is part of the sixth seal in Revelations. A burning star is the star called Wormwood, also in Revelations. And the man that tells the lie is the antichrist, also from Revelations. U2 sings about the sun being eclipsed, the moon being blood red, and the stars falling from the sky throughout their music history. It is no mystery to me what they are trying to say.... | |
