I definitely agree. Best explanation I've seen so far. Many people see the death of Christ controversial within the realm of Bible believers, because in some cases it's considered a suicide. And many who believe in the death of Christ as a just cause, but also believe that suicide is against God's law, are sometimes considered hypocrites because of it. However, the Christian Bible talks nothing about suicide specifically, which contributes quite a bit to it being controversial. But, this is only on the subject of Christianity. As I understand it, the song satirizes the death of Christ in the Christian Bible. |
