Flyleaf – Cassie (Acoustic) Lyrics | 14 years ago |
i like this version better then the original, mainly because the original is just to LOUD for the powerful for such a strong message. the lyrics of this song really are very heavy! the lyric 'don't be shocked that people die, be surprised you're still alive' is probably the most powerful because it ties the song together. be surprised you're still alive! it could've been you on the killing spree. Do you believe in God? Written on the bullet (they asked her) Say yes to pull the trigger And my sister Cassie pulled it (she said yes [and i'm just guessing on this] because she believe, not only in God, but that if they did kill her she would be with God, like, 'go ahead! shoot me!') and i love that lacey says 'sister' cassie. this song is so powerful, i just love it. flyleaf is such a strong band. |

agreed!!! |
Flyleaf – Fully Alive Lyrics | 14 years ago |
i think this song is about a girl who has gone through something so, so tragic, whatever it may be (probably death since it says 'telling layla's story') and coming to closure with it. you can tell with the lyrics in the 2nd verse &+ the chorus. she goes to church, clears her head about the subject, and comes to a conclusion that she's ready to start living. i think flyleaf is TELLING about someone, not about a personal experience, because of the lyric 'telling layla's story' and lacey is obviously the only female member of the band.(: |

do you by any chance know where/what the interview was? |
Never Shout Never – Hummingbird Lyrics | 14 years ago |
THIS.SONG.MEANS.SO.MUCH.TO.ME! (if it said 'guy' instead of 'girl' xD) |
Never Shout Never – Dare4Distance Lyrics | 14 years ago |
but shouldn't it be weekend(S), like, plural? |
Never Shout Never – Dare4Distance Lyrics | 14 years ago |
crap, i'm wrong xD but it DOES sound like 't'... weekend completely makes sense, though, since it's obviously about his girlfriend at college(: |
Never Shout Never – Dare4Distance Lyrics | 14 years ago |
though weekend makes more sense, you can clearly hear the 't' at the end of the word, making it we can't. i freaking LOVE this song! i would just like to note, though, that (as we all know) chris officially changed it from nevershoutnever! to Never Shout Never.... that should be changed... |
Paramore – When It Rains Lyrics | 14 years ago |
a comment informed me that this song was about hayley's friend who commited suicide, and i totally see it. look: And oh, oh, how could you do it? (how could you commit suicide) Oh, I, I never saw it coming (no one, well, saw it coming) And oh, oh, I need the ending (needing closure, what with it being so soon) So why can't you stay just long enough to explain? (why couldn't you stay just long enough to get HELP?) Just running away from all of the ones who love you (not taking any help) From everything Take your time (taking her own life away) Take my time (taking everyone ELSE'S life away) yupperz.(: |

Paramore – My Heart Lyrics | 14 years ago |
this is my ####1 fave paramore song. it actually means a lot to me. i personally think this song is about God or someone guiding them-- just look at the first lyrics. I am finding out that maybe I was wrong That I've fallen down And I can't do this alone (like she's praying for help) Stay with me (she needs God's guidence) This is what I need, please (she needs it BADLY xD) i love that paramore gives subtle yet meaningful hints to something greater then just a crush.... they're amazing. a lot of people say the screaming turns them off, but that to me is the best part of the whole song and a VERY brave move to put on their first CD. but how awesome is it that it was Josh? VERY :D |
Hey Monday – 6 Months Lyrics | 14 years ago |
this song is really, really beautiful. cassadee's voice is so beautiful in it. the best line is: On how to steal, steal the heart As fast as you stole mine i don't know why, but that lyric just means so much to the song! |
Hey Monday – 6 Months Lyrics | 14 years ago |
niceeee :D |
Hey Monday – Hurricane Streets Lyrics | 14 years ago |
i adore this song. it has a great beat and a great message. |
Hey Monday – Hurricane Streets Lyrics | 14 years ago |
exactly. i am a HUGGGGGGGEEEEEE paramore &+ hey monday fan alike, but they are totally different. paramore is a little bit more punk-ish, and i think paramore's songs are even a little bit deeper then hey mondays (however, i do no mean that paramore is better-- they've been going for 5+ years and hey mondays new, not only that but cassadee pope's voice is heard much better then hayley's. while hayley HAS a beautiful voice, the guitar often overpowers it.). hey monday's music is about a new chapter in life, and maybe even a bit more lighter topics.(: |
Paramore – Brick by Boring Brick Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I really do think this song has some sort of a reference to Hollywood and fame. She lives in a fairy tale Somewhere too far for us to find Forgotten the taste and smell Of the world that she's left behind Fairy tale, as in Hollywood. Glitz and glamour. 'Forgotten the taste and smell, Of the world that she's left behind' Hollywood taking over the person this song is about. It's all about the exposure, the lens, I told her The angles were all wrong now She's ripping wings off of butterflies 'It's all about the exposure, the lens, I told her' Camera. Paparazzi. Keep your feet on the ground When your head's in the clouds I think this is obvious-- not to get caught up in the fame. Well, go get your shovel And we'll dig a deep hole To bury the castle, bury the castle Go get your shovel And we'll dig a deep hole To bury the castle, bury the castle the castle, Hollywood, has taken over her life, and they're trying to bury it OR shes being buried in the gossip and they're trying to dig her out of it. So one day he found her crying Coiled up on the dirty ground Her prince finally came to save her And the rest you can figure out This is where I kinda start to change my mind about it being about Hollywood. It kind of seems like a Cinderella moment, or something. But it was a trick And the clock struck twelve Well, make sure to build your home Brick by boring brick Or the wolf's gonna blow it down Again, fairy tale reference. Keep your feet on the ground When your head's in the clouds Well, go get your shovel And we'll dig a deep hole To bury the castle, bury the castle Go get your shovel And we'll dig a deep hole We'll bury the castle, bury the castle Well, you built up a world of magic Because your real life is tragic Yeah, you built up a world of magic This takes me back to hollywood, what with the 'life of magic' part as in sparkle and shine of celebs. Well, if it's not real You can't hold it in your hand You can't feel it with your heart And I won't believe it But if it's true You can see it with your eyes Oh, even in the dark And that's where I want to be, yeah Go get your shovel And we'll dig a deep hole To bury the castle, bury the castle Go get your shovel And we'll dig a deep hole To bury the castle, bury the castle Yep. xD |
