Jack's Mannequin – The Resolution Lyrics 15 years ago
I am kind of interpreting it as him living in the past, maybe from the cancer?

"I find my body, it's still burning." maybe not even physically, but he might mean "it's still burning" as in still suffering from the disease in his past.

"The bar's are finally closed so I try living in the moment
Til the moment it just froze, and I felt sick and so alone"

He keeps trying to live in the moment, but he's still stuck in the past.

Maybe the "you" he is referring to the whole time is the cancer. Not a person.

"I can hear the sound of your voice still ringing in my ear
I'm going underground but you'll find me anywhere I fear"

As he referred to his body still burning, "the sound of your voice still ringing in my ear" is just another way to say that the disease is still haunting him. "I'm going underground, but you'll find me anywhere I fear" is that he can't escape the inevitableness of the cancer, if it returns. No matter where he runs, it would always be able to find him.

"You hold me down" basically, that it's something from his past that keeps him grounded, and not in the stable way. It keeps him living in the past, unable to move on, unable to get the whisper of it out of his ear.

"I need light in the dark as I search for the resolution."

Right now, he's so confused and lost he can't quite make up his mind about things, or get away. He's basically begging for something to make sense in a world of chaos.

My God I CAN SO RELATE to this whole song. I am so excited about it.
