Rise Against – Audience Of One Lyrics 15 years ago
i think its about how things change within a relationship that he changed his life for and once things changed between them he had nothing left because he abandonded his old life for her.

Scar Symmetry – Morphogenesis Lyrics 15 years ago
in a nutshell, i think this song is talking about a mould you fit into and the claim to deviate from it.

The Chorus depicts a need to stray away from popular thinking and the term "slaves to thoughts inside their heads" adopts common thoughts and society held beliefs to which some portions of society are happy to follow.

Just my thoughts.

Haste the Day – White Collar Lyrics 15 years ago
Having recently been able to relate to this song in a big way, this is what i think...

I think the song is about two people entering into a relationship, both wanting and commiting themselves to what they thought would be amazing but since getting into it, the other person had other expectations

"Why can't you feel this?
Can't you understand I feel this?
This is nothing.
I can see my reflection in your cheek bone.
We've been playing out this script in your mind."

He wants to know why she can't feel and see what he sees, even though she said she did, The last line I think is about them trying to figure it out together and not getting anywhere.

The Chorus says it all."You Shut me out, I just don’t want to feel it anymore" He is done with trying to help her find herself and tired of waiting.
This line I think encompasses the song entirely "You watched me follow fools to the sea. Tie the stones that bring me down below the tide.Down and down". In this line he is saying that she stood by and watch him make mistakes and say things that further made him dig his grave.
In closing, this is about a guy who felt so strongly about a girl who said she felt the same for him, but when it came to the crunch she changed her mind, he tried to help her but he just ended up making things worse. When it all finished he felt like it was all a waste, and he finally got sick of her because she "shut him out" and he says he is done with it.

Rise Against – Rumors Of My Demise Have Been Greatly Exaggerated Lyrics 16 years ago
I think that this song is about life in general, thinking of the greater picture "When I die will they remember not, what I did, not what I havnt done" and the pressures of what life brings to us "Its not the end that I fear with each breath, Its life that scares me to death". Also the building dreams on sand line, showing how fragile everything is and close you are from making everything on your life amazing and having it fall.
"Cuz we're plugged into this grid.Don't pull this plug right now, Or then we really have to live" saying that we have too many people in this world that have their lives ruled by others and the sadder part that people are happy for this to happen. "Door hinges are squeeking letting in Thin shards of light. And now our hands extending outward, Quiet comfort they invite, And do we dare take what they offer? Do we step into the light?" This line is for the people afraid to sieze what they should be doing, they see the light, but do they risk it all and run the cost of losing everything to achieve something higher, or live their standard life.

That’s Just my view.
