| Just because the wife is calling the husband unoriginal doesn't necessarily mean that she finds him boring. When the wife says that she finds the fact that he is unoriginal more depressing than the fact that he is sleeping with other women, i think she is trying to say that she is more disturbed by the fact that her husband thinks she is so naive/stupid not to realize that he is cheating on her despite the fact that he comes up with the most unoriginal excuses and way to camouflage the infidelities. | |

| I think what Bob Dylan was trying to say with this song had nothing to do with drugs or getting high. I think what he was trying to say was that in order to make a living in this world and become someone you have to be willing to take criticism i.e. getting stoned. i agree with everyone in that this song is pretty self explainitory but the part that goes "You wanna see what's in my head? You wanna see what's in my head? You wanna see what's in my head? Check it out, because I got pictures of what's in my head I got pictures of what's in my head They took them in Tokyo And I brought them back to the USA" I think he might have been trying to humanize himself to his fans. Since he's so famous many of his fans put him on a pedestal and think he is god because of his amazing piano playing skills and song writing abilities. They wonder what crazy shit is in his head that allows him to put out such great music, when really all that's there is just blood and brains like everyone else. He's just good at what he does because he dedicates himself and practices a ton. |
