The Killers – Sweet Talk Lyrics 16 years ago
Clearly he wrote this song after watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

This is all about Frodo and Sam's journey. Before you laugh, read the snippets below and think about the possibility.

"Take me over this spell,
Get this weight off my shoulders,
I've carried it well"

And this:

"Let me fly. [on the back of an eagle]
Man, I need a release from,
This troublesome mind.
Fix my feet when they’re stumbling [down the slopes of mt. doom]
And well you know it hurts sometimes.
You know it's gonna bleed sometimes." [like when gollum bites off his finger]

And then there's this:

"Keep my eyes from the fire,
They can’t handle the flame.
Grace cut out from my brothers,
When most of them fell.
I carried it well."

And this, an obvious reference to the light of Eärendil and the good of the shire:

"I’m gonna climb that symphony home and make it mine.
Let its resonance light my way.
See, all these pessimistic sufferers tend to drag me down.
So, I could use it to shelter what good I’ve found."

All of this plus an all-too-coincidental use of the word "tower".

This song was made for an LOTR video on youtube.
