the song is about how the teachers were supressed at home (But in the town it was well known, when they got home at night, their fat and psycopathic wives would thrash them within inches of their lives), and therefore turn to the kids to get vent for their need of power... (There were certain teachers who would hurt the children any way they could by pouring their derision upon anything we did and exposing every weakness however carefully hidden by the kids) To sum it up it's critics towards the schoolsystem... In the movie Pink's childhood with the abuse from his teachers and such, is a brick in the wall he builds up round himself... and that's why the song is followed by Another Brick in The Wall part2... |
