lol.. when I seen them live Tegan said "dark come soon" was in reference to a certain time where she had no minutes and was only using her cell phone at night.. around 9 or something which was "dark come soon".. and then she said that probably ruined the song for everyone, cause it sounds more serious than it is. |

I think the purpose of repeating the lyrics in "not tonight" and "terrible storm" is to specify that it is about the same person, situation, or feeling, or whatever.. Tegan does the same thing in "I know I know I know" and "and darling" about who ever slipping their hands into her pockets. |

When did she say that? I seen youtube videos of her saying some of her old songs embarrass her.. it was a banter video and someone in the audience was like "play girly man! (which is actually called burried alive, but is often missnamed)" and she was like "wow.. god no" ... and then later she was like "i find myself being embarrassed like 10 times a night.. people are like "play superstar!.. and I'm like oh god, worst song I have ever written" |

hahaha this song is so pathetic. Fat Mike is an idiot, and nofx sucks. They're such lame mediocre musicians with that same annoying drum beat in practically every single song they have. Booooooooooooring. Anyway, Kathleen Hanna rules and she is the farthest thing from a "man-hater", in fact she just got married to (GASP!) a man, fat mike is just too dense to understand Bikini Kill.. This song isn't even an intelligent attack it's just plain petty. Fat Mike doesn't know shit about her and courtney it had absolutely nothing to do with him, what a child. Anyway, Kathlen Hanna rules and Bikini Kill owns the shit out of nofx. |

I heard Tegan describe this song first hand when I seen them live. She said she had this apartment and there was a big room she particularly liked.. and she liked to lay on the floor and look out the window. She said she was particularly despressed the day she thought of this song, and she was on the phone with someone who she "deeply, deeply, deeply, wanted to be with" and they kept saying "hold on" and taking other calls... and she said it hurt her how they didn't really care to talk to her as much as she did them. |
