As Cities Burn – Into the Sea Lyrics | 15 years ago |
for me this song is all about faith. God doesn't always answer us the way we would like. but he always has a plan, even if we don't see it at the time. "throw yourself into the sea. it's alright..." - giving up and allowing faith in God to allow him to guide you, even though you might now know where you are going "though we don't ever see you move, slowly the winds..." - we might not see the actual moving of the mountain but it is moving. the waves carried parts of it to the shore as sand. we just have to have even a little bit of faith in order to understand that. |

Manchester Orchestra – I Was A Lid Lyrics | 15 years ago |
once again another amazing song. here's what i heard... i was a lid on a house we barely speak of folded again i could see myself inside and i was amazed how a god could know my first name and you amazed at the difference in my speech 2, 3, 4 so what of your words did i know you would deceive me and what better in for a calmness in my side so i made a way from a ? godspeed and what a debate do you still know my full name and i was the one that decided to light you on fire and you were a tree with a root that was wrapped in my brain so build me a sign make me know that you speak of a body oh do do you plead do do you plead do do you plead please i had a thought i did your house up faking causes and i needn't a word i am the saddest version yet so what is the price i pay to be this wrong ? i was the man that claimed to see but now i'm not i am afraid of the good and bad beneath me so give me a sign for the angels on my feet i was a man yeah i swear i was a man so keep me alive for the angels in my feet cause i am a way for a man to rid his skin clean so send me a sign for the ones who need my seed (seat) and i had a dream i killed our families and you were the one i hoped you blame and i felt a baby in your stomach i knew who he was but he had no name |

ebott do you know andy personally? and just because he may/may not do them doesn't mean he can't write about them. even if that's what he's writing about. and i agree it means something different to everyone. that is what's amazing about his lyrics. ambiguous and full of interpretation. |
Manchester Orchestra – I Can Feel a Hot One Lyrics | 15 years ago |
anyone have ideas to what he means? or what you get from it? heres my two cents... i think it has to do with drug abuse. i feel cocaine. and that his addiction is the cause of an ending relationship. and he knows it's from his abuse. |
Underoath – A Fault Line, A Fault of Mine Lyrics | 15 years ago |
getting over what? drugs? wasn't that a rumor? |
Underoath – Desolate Earth :: The End Is Here Lyrics | 15 years ago |
wow. epic... |
Underoath – The Only Survivor Was Miraculously Unharmed Lyrics | 15 years ago |
i think i take a more cynical approach to the song. i feel that it's about being tired of people with a "holier than thou" complex. being judged by the ones who are supposed to show love and questioning things because this isn't how it's supposed to be. |
