M83 – Moonchild Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this song really helps me put things in a different light especially when I'm having a hard day. I remember the first time I listened to the song and I was having a bad day and I just wanted to run, but the song came on and i heard this voice of this scared child and the line "Keep on singing, little boy And raise your arms in the big black sky Raise your arms the highest you can So the whole universe will glow" just gave me a new breath of life that night. So the whole universe will glow... just that if you keep going you could change the universe inspires me to no end |
Franz Ferdinand – 40 Ft. Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This is my very first post about any song and its a random song to comment on but here's how I interpret it. Theres a guy who's having a horrible day/week/year/life... whatever. He goe's to the coast, and stands on the brink ready to jump, but then stops. the first verse is just so blatent The coldest calm falls Through the molten veins Cooling all the blood to slush That congeals around the brain He stops and rethinks and is calmed. Molten veins??!!! such a perfect comparison to when you get angry and your "blood boils". The sea and the fact that he's on the edge gives him/her a different perspective. But the chorus echo's the fact that theres only 40 feet between life and death. the la la la la laaaa part give me the vibe of "wow i'm about to jump and die if I do this... maybe its not that bad" but at the same time the end of the song when the music takes control you wonder if he's really going to do it or not. Its a great song, especially after I read the lyrics |
