311 – Color Lyrics 14 years ago
It becomes obvious after really giving it some attention. This song is about the deterioration of thought in today's culture. Also, I think it could be about the corrupt education system of America. I mean... think about it.

311 – Speak Easy Lyrics 17 years ago
zamusic, that was the style they "brought". Maybe you're familiar with these lyrics: "…what's in the future for the view is many changes…" or maybe this one, "…We've changed a lot and then a lot - a lot…" Although, you can't disturb the course of T & P & C & D & Nick.

311 – Whiskey And Wine Lyrics 17 years ago
LISTEN, scottgirl97. They've changed a lot and then-- a lot, a lot! I love 311, especially what they once were. Sure, what's in the future for their view is many, MANY changes. And I support them. I love their self-renegade sounds. That's what makes 311. But you gotta ask yourself, would this song really still exist if no money was made... reconsider everything, you know? The only thing 'I' can prove about that is that there is no proof.

Also, I don't need to be a guitar virtuoso to appreciate good music. I have ears too, you know!? And honestly (nothing in life is above that), I would listen to this song, that is, if there were no lyrics. You can't disturb the course of T & P & C & D & Nick. And if what I said before sounded like a belch, I'm just a funky child with some words on my tongue. Golly gosh. Esé Lives!

311 – Use Of Time Lyrics 18 years ago
This number is about frustration. A kind of calm, passive... a kind of depressing frustration. The loss of thinking ability, no flow of thought. You can't force your way out because then you'll just pull yourself deeper into the void. You just sit there... playing that same beat in your head... that deafening indescribable beat. Time seems to just null intself into existence. Until finally-- finally, you go ultimately mad… … …

Les is not human. He comes from the planet Kicapoo. He came to earth, disguised as a primate or homosapien, simply, to make music. And he has been making music ever since.

Primus – Jerry Was a Race Car Driver Lyrics 18 years ago
In astronomy, it is postulated that the brightest stars are the youngest to die. Jerry was so god-damn fast, fast = heat, heat = brightness. Captain Pierce was a fireman, firemen fight the heat. That's what I think.
By the way, I was wondering how one dances to Primus. And then I remembered watching the T.V and seeing how birds do their mating dances. Does anybody know what the Crane Dance is? ;p I think Primus is made up of a bunch of Aliens.

Chicago – Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is? Lyrics 18 years ago
After listening to this song on repeat for a whole night I've come to conclude that this song is about somebody going psycho, honestly. One day this fellow was just taking a strole down the street, he was probably high on something, till somebody asked him for the time, and then a thought just him: 'Why?' and it just ramified from there. He couldn't stop these thoughts, they just kept on coming.

This song is about sociology and psychology. SA is obviously an alien who's trying to "pnone home." So this song is also about E.T., SA's distant relative. "I watch the birds of prey... I don't hate you, peace is my priority," Nick is trying to tell SA he doesn't need to go, things could be peacefull.
"Go north on Outpost, Left on Mullholand," Nick is trying to tell you his fans where there is, supposedly, buried treasure.
"Cuz we never gonna wear the old hat," I hear 311 has a big hat collection.

I agree with ak11, I have plenty of out-of-body-experiences while I take my lunch breaks at work. This song might also be about Buddhism: In Buddhism, when you die, you are reborn and then die again. This continues forever and the only way to stop it is to reach nirvana, an ideal condition of rest, harmony, stability, or joy. I was once dung beetle!

I'd like to think this song is a tribute to those who aren't "all mixed up."
"...no one looks as foolish as the excitable ones..but then again there's no one who has as much fun..." When the white-man came to the new-world those indians/native americans looked so foolish to them. They must have been having lots of fun. Oh well, they're gone now. Those natives must have been having too much fun.
Uhh... this song is about the white-man stealing the indian's land!

311 – All Mixed Up Lyrics 18 years ago
Generaly, to me, this song is about making progression and you can't do that all-mixed-up.
One day, I was writing in my little journal (you know I put my thoughts into it), which I've had many for some time, and decided to look back at a previous one, about one year back. When I did this I thought, "hmm... this one ought to be interestingly different," but to my surprise it was anything but, though, it was interesting. It just so happened that the topic I was writing about then just so happened to be the topic I was writing about this same day. After reading through I noticed significant similarities in the two (that days journal entry and this day's journal entry). --I should point out that this year-gap was a time of mental turmoil for me.-- I thought that I was going to read a journal with a "freakishly" different view on the topic. No, it "turns" out that I was slightly the same "person" then.
Oh well, I just thought I'd get that off my chest. :D

Nirvana – Radio Friendly Unit Shifter Lyrics 18 years ago
I love this song because I have no clue what is wrong with ME! Whenever I hear this song, I imagine looking through Kurts' eyes and seeing nothing but a big bright light shining onto me(Kurt)... but I(Kurt) realy don't give a damn about the lights so my(Kurt) eyes are closed. Also, It seems as if Kurt, when singing some of these lines, is actualy talking to himself(maybe the 'What' parts of the song). Hence, the eye closing.
Also like to add that I love to think. It keeps me going. Sometimes I think that I to think too much, I think. But I like to ask questions like how, why, when, and what. I need it. Well this is what I get out of the song… I love Kurts' ambiguous lyrics. What? Oh, I thought you said something. :P

Nirvana – On a Plain Lyrics 18 years ago
I am now going to say a couple of random words: Cookie, Candle-Stick. Hmm-Mmm? These words may seem completely random but, come to think of it, I am pretty hungry and it is a little dark in here. Also, both words start with the 'c/k' sound just like in Kurt Cobains' name. And also, it... are you still reading this? :D
To me, this song is about life and EVERYTHING that goes with it: love, hate, planes, plains, happy, sad, sappy, etc. And we are all kinda on a plain, you know, mathematicaly. According to Special Relativity, E = mc², and the general rule to the... are you still there? :D Seriously though, the most important lyrics in this song are Dave Grohl's falsetto harmonies, "Hmm-Mmm, Hmm-Mmm." What else should I say? What else should I write? Well, that's what 'I' think.
By the way, those words realy were random... honestly.
That was a David Bowie song... :D
Me = (xyz)time. Are you STILL there? :-\

Why are things always in the last place you looked for them? Duh, cuz that's the last place you looked! :-)
To me, this song is about coming to a conclusion of self-awareness. I'm usually in awe when I hear this song... and lots of other Nirvana songs too. :-| I'm in a jar, in a laundry room, in a house, in a little town, in a country, on a planet... in a... and then I 'turn around'... it's pretty scary. :-( Oh well, I'm pretty happy when I"m in my jar. :-\
