noone has commented this yet? what is the world coming to? ok, basically mind machine is literally about the future, similar to theories that tv shows have like ghost in the shell. People have become "mind and machinery," cyborgs, and there is a higher power controlling them( this is where the ghost in the shell part ends). Many of the songs on this album seem to have this theme to them. bear in mind however, that it may not be all literal and could be metaphor for people losing control of their lives to a higher power in todays society. Much of this album seems to be about control, manipulation, and perceptions of reality |

ironically, noone has mentioned the scenario i think of when i hear this song...perhaps because mine is specific: i think it's about a relationship where one person seems to be unsure about what they want, and whether they want to stay with this perso or notn, and the other puts all their blind faith into it and "believes." The two verses at the beginning, or the two first ones, appear to be about sex, and possibly that the person has a fantasy of sex with the other person, and through the song they lose themselves to the fantasy. The lines "say that you believe," and "say it to me," are about how the person wants the other person to commit to the "dream," the "fantasy." The chorus asks the person if they live, die, or bleed "for the fantasy," meaning that are they passionate and will they commit. I currently can relate well to this interpretation of the song. This may not be the intended meaning, but it's what it means to me. Oh and by the way, yes, arguing on this forum is fine, but it needs to be constructive and not personal. It should be about the song itself and it's meaning, and backed up by something(lyrics etc). If it is not, it is a waste of space. I personally am agnostic, but i still do believe in and pray to a God. |

this is a song with a truly timeless theme to me to me it is of a man who is reborn in reincarnation over and over, and in different lives falls in love with the same girl, reincarnated, but can never have her. Hence all the references to time. I'm not a believer in reincarnation but it's a song, beliefs don't come into interpretation |

it sounds to me like someone who can't deal with living in ordinary society, hence the name socio, and he is constantly forced to try to be like everyone else, "i know that normals hard to fake," and "why does it have to be like this?" Maybe even about that normal society and it's flaws may be pushing someone to the brink of sanity |

i agree with british kitten, sorta. some parts are definitely said by God. The parts where he says what am i supposed to do now are said by God. It's possible that it's about how people always ask too much of God. And yes it is stupid that people automatically assume that just cos a god is a god means it can do anything. Another possible interpretation if you don't believe that God is allowed in heavy metal music, is that someone/people are treating him like God, maybe even the fans, and that he doesn't feel like he can deal with it, cos they want too much from him. Yes i am a christian, but no, i don't try to point out god in every song, this one just seems to suit it |

i think this may be about a dysfunctional couple, and he is getting frustrated that the other person won't just let things be, they have to fight about everything, hence why "peace is gone." and perhaps the girl is taking forever to trust him and to open up to him(not literally). He is saying that he can't take her "sillyworld" that she created, where she always gets her way, anymore. this song is great. |

this is one of the best pieces of work from corey. it seems to me to be mostly about religion and government controlling everything and corruption within both. Perhaps when he yells at himself he is being the people who try to keep people who like to express their opinion quiet. and the end, is really about how we should just live life. this is so deep and meaningful, and i really give corey props for it |

this song to me seems to be about someone he can't have, hence being behind glass, he can see her but not touch...or possibly about someone who is creating the glass barrier, but he keeps on waiting til he can get through. He says that forever feels like home because he feels like he could wait forever for this person, and that the person may force him to, hence why it feels like home, cos he's used to having to wait. |

this song, to me is both beautiful and sad. And to me it is about someone who he loves dearly, and the person isn't returning the love, hence him saying fine, "you don't need to bother," and that he is slowly slipping away from her. Maybe the person is confronting him about some of his issues or flaws. He says, "but once i hold on i won't let go til it bleeds," because the girl doesn't want to lose him, and he agrees to stay with her, but he says to her, beware, once i hold on, i'll never let go til i die... A truly beautiful song. |
