First of all, nu-metal attracts a MUCH larger audience then industrial rock. So they aren't changing to sell more records.
Since korn lost a band member-the band itself bviously had to make a decision. They could put out another simple emotional album like take a look in the mirror, or they could use it as an opportunity to change thier music style.
They changed.
And honestly, look back at the previous two albums. Jonathon's lyrics are redundant and really are quite forced... This is what happens when you keep your music the same for ELVEN GOD DAMN YEARS! ALL of korns music before SYOTOS was either about two things-
1. Jonathon's personal issues
2.The media
Jonathon take phrases songs before Untouchables and TALINTM and repeats them on these albums because he is running out of ideas. Besides... at that time thier lives didn't exactly suck anyways, so why fake it?
Korn changed the music for the sake of its fans-not themselves. Love it or hate it, it would still be WAY better than another repetitive emotional album.
Also, their new songs DO have meanings. They just happen to be a bit more complex than the "Something takes a part of me" cliche that korn created over the last eleven years. (Ex. Politics, Hypocrites.) |

Chuck is talking about preists. They dedicate thier lives to a big nothing-the christian religion. "You know so much about nothing at all." Preists are not allowed to have wives or have sex, so therefore they dont know thier sexuality. |

this song is awesome... my favorite of Death's.
The song is about how in any religion, there is "zero tolerance" for any disagreement or difference - despite the fact that most religions have very loose rots and are quite questionable.
The song also makes a point that "virtuous lives" are wasted by dedicating their lives to these religions. It also hints at how religion is quite destuctive at the openings lines. |

sorry my emotional friend but i can make fun of any band i want to make fun of. i think aiden sucks because all of their songs are shallow and tedious. Not to mention they're goth fucks and they have a fat guy. The white stuff round their face looks pretty fuckin' retarted. While you may say "its so bootiful and so emotionool!" you dont seem to understand that all of this stuff has very shallow meaning. and they also have a whiny soundin' lead singer who needs a shower. and to give them any credit at all, instrumentally i'd say a few of their songs are DECENT. such as "last sunrise". but the rest are just continuosly playing off 1 riff.
Besides, most of this "goth vampuric punk" is most of the time either based upon total made up crap, or totally inspired by trivial childhood memories. Should you really be crying about your life when there are millions upon millions of people across the world that have it 100x worse? And while im saying it wouldnt be easy to be as succesful as aiden, I know I would want to lead a much more respectable and helpful life, not just sit around helping kids cry about being sad for no reason. |

I have a live version of the song, and it actually sounds fairly similar but not quite the same. Not to mention he changes the song ALOT live... Like adding more intelligible lines.
People, honestly, even using a SBR modifier i have not found any understandable lines backwards, slowed down, speeded up, or even in in a different format. I know we'd all LIKE to think hes trying to say something to us, but it's most certainly nothing but random shit coming off the top of his head. |

MCR, Aiden, Bring me the horizon so far, and that's more than good, i suggest, Black Dahlia Murder.
with music publicized as much as Aiden, theres bound to be alot of fans. "Interesting" and "Unique" do not fit in Aiden's category. Not to mention I can see they get most of their ideas from other bands. "interesting"? If you think bloody nightmares and vampire freaks are interesting sources of music, then theres something wrong with you.
Honestly, this band blows. Vocally they suck, the vocalist has a whiny voice and he is fairly monotone.. Instrumentally, they are very run-of-the-mill... not awful but far too typical. There songs are about vampires and hell... and apparently romance. The lyric writing fits decent. But as it blends together, it is the worst bunch of shit I've heard. Goth emo fucks ranting and raving about nightmares and sunrises? Not to mention this music is really quite bland. |

Well, after looking into this, I find it is true. During all that distortion in the song, if you play it backwards you can make out "Dont look at me" comparing it to sounds. Its quite strange and doesnt seem like it is supposed to be there. Strangely enough, playing it normal there is almost NO change in tempo or beat or anything during that time, so it really is quite odd. To play it backwards, you need to download the file as a wma. file first, and then using an SBR (Sound Bit Rate) Modifier, which can be either downloaded off the web or bought. (musicmatch often supplies one) You have to change the play rate to about half of normal and then play it backwards on a cd player. It should sound much clearer than normal.
If you have an advanced SBR Program then you can easily just flip the song around completely using tools in the customizer. Its not very easy but it sounds perfect backwards.
I've tried both versions and was able to identify the line in both with somewhat ease. You should see for yourself... it really is quite strange...
