In Flames – Watch Them Feed Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Here are the actual lyrics. I'm sick of seeing this crappy interpretation everywhere. I lost my visual 'Cause all you fucks are in my way So drop her off this route Bigots and vampires, watch them feed Seal the sides of the borders We are here to bend Penetrate the outlines A mess of color They say the world is turning But we are stuck upside down Imaginary reality Suffer from make-believe Oh, self-conceit Bigots and vampires, watch them feed They say the world is struggling But we are stuck upside down No purpose, No scorn, No sorrow will be wasted on you. |
Dark Tranquillity – Hedon Lyrics | 17 years ago |
A hedon is a unit of pleasure in utilitarianism, and one who is motivated mainly by personal pleasure is called a "hedonist." Pretty clearly, the song is about humanity's hedonistic struggle for pleasure and the trouble caused by it. |
Dark Tranquillity – Inside the Particle Storm Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Badass song. Matches the mood of the lyrics perfectly. Obviously, the lyrics are about the end of everything as we know it. |
Dark Tranquillity – Misery's Crown Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Sounds to me like the story of someone who's lost his faith in others, probably because of whatever happened between him and the person in the second verse, and withdrawn from society. |
Amon Amarth – Asator Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Excellent song. One of the things about Amon Amarth's music is that, when you know the lyrics, it's just so much better. |
In Flames – Dead End Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Great song. Rather than "We are the dead-care watchers," I think it's "We are the dead that walk the earth." Not only does it make sense, it sounds exactly right. |
In Flames – Crawl Through Knives Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This is one of the most powerful songs on the new album. After all, it was going to be the title track (would've been a great one, too). This is a big step up from Soundtrack. More solos, better lead guitar, better harmonies, it's more uptempo, and the frequent clean vocals are wonderful. I can't get enough of the album. Even though I've downloaded it, I'm buying it the day it comes out, because In Flames deserves my money for this wonderful effort. |
In Flames – Reflect the Storm Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This is one of the songs that hit me hard on the first listen. The chorus really sounds mystical in some way. Very well-done. I love In Flames' new sound, and, for the first time since STYE, I'm able to truthfully say that I hope they continue in this direction. |
In Flames – Metaphor Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This is a great song. It's really not like any other In Flames song, and the country element added by the violin really doesn't bother me as much as it should. Excellent vocals and songwriting, and very well-played. Then again, I can't think of an IF song that's not. |
In Flames – Dismiss the Cynics Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Seems to me like the person whose point of view the song is from is working hard to figure out the answer to something or to accomplish, even though an answer may not exist or that task may be impossible. The second part refers to how many times someone can fail before giving up. Is there a limit? |
In Flames – Vacuum Lyrics | 18 years ago |
These lyrics are horribly wrong. One major correction that I was able to make out is, in the third line, "The plight of man is that time never takes a pause." That sounds alot more like something In Flames would say, now doesn't it? |
In Flames – Take This Life Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I think it's a bit irresponsible to be posting Come Clarity lyrics already, but I took the time listen to the album and copy down the lyrics, taking time to make sure they were correct as possible. "When it comes down to victory within me" is actually something more like "When the raindrops expect to hit me." More of these lyrics are wrong, but I don't have sufficient corrections. |
