Metallica – Creeping Death Lyrics | 18 years ago |
'Harvester of Sorrow', i hate to burst your bubble but this song is not about "the whole cliff thing" as you said. I assume by that you mean his tragic death? if that is what you mean then you are very wrong. This song is in Ride the Lightning, followed by Master of Puppets and it wasn't until after this that he died. Just about that bible story, based on that movie that they saw or whatever. The point is they thought it sounded cool and it kicks arse! |

great song, listening to it right now. Composed of a shitload of riffs and solos written by Cliff but never used in anything solid. Too bad it took his tragic death for this beutiful song to come to us. Every time i hear the lyrics near the end, i think of Cliff and wonder if that's how he really felt about the world. This whole song, and the bass solo Anesthesia make me think about how metallica would sound if cliff hadn't died in the crash. I know this for sure, load, reload, st Anger and especially that shit with Ja Rule would have never happened. Maybe there would be many more sweet albums, songs and kick ass solos for us to comment on. Cliff was just an awesome bell bottom wearing, pot smoking, metalist but had such a beutiful talent. How amazing is it that he can still touch us through his music. Cliff Burton will live on forever through our stereo systems. |

Man i love this solo. If Cliff was still alive, then there would be so many fucking awesome metallica albums out there for us. He wrote some of the best music i have ever heard. Here's to cliff! I think Cliff would be real cut up about St Anger, and even more so about that fucking shit featuring Ja Rule. He would have never sold out or even let metallica head in the direction they did. |
Metallica – We Did It Again (feat. Ja Rule and Swizz Beatz) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
sorry venu, it deffinantly is metallica. I first saw it on the special features of the documentry 'some kind of monster'. Very dissapointing. I love metallica, i've been a huge fan for years but i think they went too far this time. they pushed it with reload, they were even on the line with the black album but this shits just gone mainstream. If Metallica were money hungry, i'd call them sell outs right now but i know that they aren't. They all have millions already, they've just changed with the generations. It sucks i know. I miss the old Metallica. If Cliff Burton was still alive, this would never have happened. |
Metallica – St. Anger Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I have to say, metallica really has sold out. A few of the songs on this album are ok and worth listening to, but honestly i do regret buying this album. very dissapointing. I miss the good old days, where you could always look forward to a kick arse solo in each song. This album is full of rad riffs but hardly a solo anywhere and the drumming, it sucks. way too loud and the snare just pisses me off. When Cliff died, so did Metallica. Just my opinion. |

don't quote my exact words on this coz i don't remember all too well but on the documentry 'some kind of monster' Hetfield says something along the lines of "just read the lyrics, Anger in a healthy way". |
Metallica – Fuel Lyrics | 19 years ago |
No metaphores, no specifics. This is what you here so just shut up and listen to the words! Speed, speed is good! It's fun to go fast. But don't live your life fast. live your life slow. Settled. |
Blink-182 – Dammit Lyrics | 19 years ago |
this song is awesome! As most of their music is. Sucks that blink broke up, but there new music was getting a little non-punk rockish if that makes sense. The old songs are so good, they should have kept writting them like they used to but o well, what do u get. It had to end somewhere and what better time to end than just after i'd seen them live! awesome experience, i'll never forget it. |
Metallica – Low Man's Lyric Lyrics | 19 years ago |
You guys are all being way too specific. The purpose of these lyrics are so that everybody can relate. It doesn't necessarilly have anything to do with an addiction, or a homeless person. The song is about coming to terms with your mistakes. He or she has made a major mistake somewhere along the line and a friend has tried to help them out but were pushed away (So you bring this poor dog in from the rain Though he just wants right back out again). Now he or she wishes that they had taken the help and are ashamed of what they have become (and i can't bare to see, what i've let me be). And now is asking to be forgiven for the stubborness. The effect that i think is supposed to be felt by us (the fans) is this, If you are in any trouble, don't deny help because it will only get worse and life isn't meant to be lived alone. I can see how drugs would be brought into this (my fingers seek my veins) but consider this: It says My eyes seek reality - He or she is coming to terms that this is reality, this is the persons life. Maybe they're seeking veins to check that he/she is alive. Whether or not they are really living their life. This song is full of metaphors and a million meanings could be thought up about it. It means whatever it means to you. |
