I love how this song starts out all calm and wandering and accelerates into the screaming at the end. I love that screaming...It doesn't seem pointless to me as in most screamo bands these days.
Anyway, this song reminds me of a person's mind where you think about something close to you. You bring it up in your mind randomly and as you start to think more about it, your emotions are released on it. |

It really provokes past memories for me about people I've known in a negative way.
It's just a message to those who have wronged him and he's trying to get them to see what they did wrong. At the end, he is above them because they are now "naked, scarred, and alone." |

I just saw these guys for the first time recently and I like them a lot.
Catchy song and it showcases his voice pretty well.
I just wish these guys would create a better band name.
It basically about him and his friends (and those like them) breaking through and finding the way together. |

I wonder...do they get snow down there in Texas? Maybe someone was somewhere else for a visit and this is the story of their first experience with snow. I remember meeting people from Florida who had never seen snow until they came to Pittsburgh, and they were completely intrigued by it. It's about the togetherness of the holiday season ("It's that day again/ It's that time of year/with our smiling faces/we will sing with cheer"). |

I'm not sure what she's talking about exactly. Is it about some kid with glasses (teloscope eyes) and braces (metal teeth) that is sort of enarmored by her? Maybe a friend who is a "loser" and she doesn't want to be associated with him or her, but she feels sad because inside they are just the same. |

It's obviously about love. My take on it is that she likes someone all of a sudden, so much and she is not prepared for the pain for she has not told him or maybe she has and he rejected her. Her sitting and wondering about him makes me think of the way you feel when you like someone so much so you just sit and think of all these things about them.
I also think the bees might be symbolic, not only representative of where they live, but has something to do with "the birds and the bees"? |

I like Eisley's music because it sounds unique to me. I'm probably going to catch heat for saying this, but her voice doesn't seem to have very much of a range to it, does it? It sounds like the same 5 notes in different succession. Even if this is true, they make it work.
I agree with others about it being about the world through a child's eyes. It may also just be about the crazy images flying around in someone's mind. |

Can you hear in the background near the end of the song where he's screaming? I believe he's saying:

And I agree pretty well with previous analyses of the song meaning so there is no need to repeat it in different words. Enormously meaningful lyrics for a song. |

My favorite song off of "Let It Enfold You", easily. You can't just sit calmly and listen to this song. It definately announced that Senses Fail is back and they aren't going anywhere, no slowing down. A song of pure desperation, of the extreme point at which you want to reach at life, but it just seems futile. Due to this futility, he drives himself into self-destruction with the bottle, pill, his own thoughts...Oh, sweet darkness. |

What a lovely and depressing song. I was wondering what the title came from. Maybe he and this girl both play tennis or they met at a tennis court? Maybe he's writing it at a tennis court for some reason.
To me, it's about a girl he loved who seemed so great and such a wonderful person. As time went by all the incredible, nice things about her have been dissipating and he wonders why she has changed. Maybe she changed because she went away for a little while and then came back. They are drifting apart and it seems she feels spiteful toward him. The relationship is lost. |

Their first song that I heard. Preciously delicate and beautiful lyrics. It is a reflection on his life, what he has been doing and wondering if he's wasted it, thinking about those around him and what he would do for them. He is also comforting others and urging them to look forward, as he realizes he should, I think.
Notice how many times he mentions the cold, or the snow, or the winter season in their songs. They're from Washington, so it's pretty cold there a lot of the time, I guess. I just love how he implements them into the songs. |

This is by far my favorite Daphne Loves Derby song, if not my favorite song altogether. I don't think it has anything to do with any particular love. He is just desperately crying out hoping that love is possible, that it can be real. He wants all the pure and innocent beliefs he held as a child to turn out to be true, even though since he has grown up the world has taught him to believe otherwise. He wants to escape from this world of monotony and banality and go back to his most primary feelings where anything was possible, where the things he has held most dear are all in existence without fault. When I heard this it felt like my story, like if I could write well that this is what I would write, straight from the heart. Thank you, Kenny. |
