America – A Horse With No Name Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I really disagree with the song referring to drugs...the singer finds himself in a desert, and slowly descends into madnesss that was probably caused by dehydration, and then he most likely died 9 days later. A prime example of how isolating yourself can be deadly. |
Nickel Creek – Sabra Girl Lyrics | 19 years ago |
To those not in the know, a Sabra is a native-born Israeli...why they would write a song about a native-born Israeli is beyond me. I just think it's a love song about a mysterious girl. Sabra just sounds pretty...lol |
Creed – My Sacrifice Lyrics | 19 years ago |
What is wrong with these people? Why do you even bother coming here? If you don't like Creed, go tell someone that gives a damn. TKDAD, I think your explanation made the most sense to me, and I am sorry for your loss. I wish some people would just stop throwing their bibles and actually SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SONG!! We've seen our share of ups and downs. Oh, how quickly life can turn around, in an instant. That's my favorite piece of the song. ^^ |
Breaking Benjamin – So Cold Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Well, nope. That's even how they have it on their site. But I think it's just worded wierd, like how they usually do in songs: "If you find your family, Don't you cry In this land of make believe, Dead and dry" I think they mean that if you find your family in the land of make believe dead and dry don't cry. I thought it was kind of wierd too but I listened to it a few times and it sorta made sense.. I first heard this on the radio, and now I just can't stop listening to it! Anyways, I've seen Hellboy like 7 times, and I never heard this in the movie... I guess I'll have to watch it again... Is it in the credits? I never watch them. |
Nickel Creek – The Lighthouse's Tale Lyrics | 19 years ago |
It's amazing; this song is so sad and touching, and beautiful and calm. I guess that's what I like most about Nickel Creek; their songs are always so quiet, I always listen to them while I'm doing homework. Or whenever I need to relax. It's a little ironic, though; a lightouse keeper's fiancè dies of a boat crash. But this whole song is cres, from the intro, to the chorus, to the very last line. |
Sifl And Olly – Try to Remember Lyrics | 19 years ago |
That's what's so cres about this song. They JUST DON'T GET IT. But anyways.. I like this song because it's true, Sifl and Olly do some mean things to each other, but that's what makes them such good friends, besides the fact that they're socks and they don't know any better. I wonder why other people aren't commenting here. COME ON, SOCKHEADS!! |
Liam Lynch – United States Of Whatever Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Liam Lynch and Matt Crocco both made some crescent songs on the Sifl and Olly show, along with United States of Whatever. And it's Zafo, not Zafron or Zafwa. If you go to the official site, they say so. Sorry guys, I'm a sockhead. :P Generally, Liam and Matt's songs make NO sense, as they were each made in about 30 minutes. BRING BACK THE SOCKS! LIAM LYNCH IS GOD!! |
Alkaline Trio – Armageddon Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Ok is it just me or did this discussion turn into a people bashing thread? Nothing most of you guys are saying has anything to do with the MEANING of this song. kudos to the people actually TRIED to discuss the meaning of this song. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Or if you do, at least try to back yourself up with a reason. That's how this works. |
Alkaline Trio – My Little Needle Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Why don't we just listen to this cres song and forget the whole thing? Jeez, you guys are violent. But also it seems that he refers to something he commonly does to make himself feel better: 'But every night I water them back to life yeah every night I water them back to life.' That could be drugs, maybe it could be meaningless sex. That's what I think. And then also, he talks about being alone. Could drugs solve that? Would his 'soulmate' solve that? 'I'm tired of sleeping alone So where are you my little needle?' He could be talking about looking for his literal needle, or he could possibly he talking about wanting to find his 'soulmate' in a world full of Ms. Wrongs/haystack. So, you could either take the song LITERALLY and say it's about doing drugs, or you could actually try to interpret the song and say they're all metaphors for love and how lonely this man feels without his 'soulmate'. Whatever you may think, could you people at least TRY to respect other people's opinions?? |
